We went for dinner for our anniversary and really enjoyed our meal. First, multiple people wished us a happy anniversary... including when we checked in and our server as well, nice touch. The service was excellent! The food was very good albeit alittle on the small size portion wise. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and would definitely be back again. They were alsoable to accommodate a vegan meal for me. Read more
Sorry for the low rating but it reflects the true experience. We liked everything until put a bite on our food - salty it was.... The burger was over seasoned in the meat patty and the Zucchini main plate too was very salty. With the price they list, I didexpect higher level of quality - they should have some sort of control process let another chief taste as a second opinionbefore presenting in plate (best restaurant practices) in my opinion. Very nice spot but the service is not good. Server does not pay much attention and things comes out very slowly. It took maybe... 1.5 hrs for the food, we wish they would have told us earlier. We asked for 6 croissants in the meantime (we were a table of 7)and she came back with three and we watched her use her hands to put it on the plate when there were tongs right beside. The decor and atmosphere in this beautiful place is what draws me here. The patio is nestled in the middle of the park. The... rustic yet stylish restaurant feels welcoming and elegant. Having said this the food doesn’t feel like it fits the elegance.The presentation is decent. The food is tasty enough. Our service experience this time was just ok. We waited a while to haveour orders taken. The restaurant was maybe 25% full at the time. Our server had tables on the patio as well as inside so it wasdifficult to get her attention. I had to ask the hostess to let her know we were ready to order having waited too long. It wasmid-week lunch and most of us had to go back to work. You have to park outside of the park before walking in through theconstruction in Eau Claire. It will likely be a while before I come back. Read more
Magical spot tucked away in a park by the river. They offer you some bread to start which is amazing, if I wasn’t trying to... eat less carbs I would have ordered their loaf. I loved the tomato rhubarb and goat cheese starter and the tagliatelle was veryfilling. Service was excellent! Note that parking is outside and you have to walk to the restaurant (my gps told me to drive butthere is no parking). Read more
One of our favorite brunch places when we are in town. The menu is seasonal, so choices remain fresh. Food was delicious. Just... be aware that they charge $1 per person for either sparkling or still water, so come thirsty my friends! Read more
Delicious food, impeccable service, wonderful all round experience. Cozy and inviting atmosphere, waitress was attentive without... being overbearing. The oysters were some of the best I've ever had, octopus salad was delicious though I would have liked it alittle lighter on the sauce to be able to taste the octopus more. Meat dishes were cooked perfectly with well though outaccompaniments. Left feeling warm, satisfied and relaxed. Read more
This seems to be a well-respected place for locals and informed visitors. They have nice ambiance indoors and out on the patio,... and tons of space.. all-around beautiful place. We only explored their weekend brunch menu. They have some interesting,non-traditional benedict and breakfast meat options. The beef benedict was outstanding -- great texture on the biscuit and "thebest ever" per my benedict-loving friend I was dining with. The goose sausage was another unique and amazing item. I went with asimple breakfast plate and it managed to be an elevated, excellent dish. We all loved the crispyness of their potatoes. Thehalibut cakes were also enjoyably and so was the chocolate hazelnut creameaux dessert that looked like artwork.
