A truly horrible assault on my palate. We had the split pea and ham soup, it was inedible. The ham in the soup was pizza... topping, a bunch of clumps of ham in some green stuff. There was no flavour, consistency or any kind of presentation. We alsohad the ham and pineapple pizza and we added pepperoni. The pepperoni isn?t actual pepperoni, it?s pepperoni loaf or somepressed meat of some sort. There was very little sauce on the pizza, very little cheese, no flavour and the pepperoni was allburned on the top. They don?t put cheese on top of their pizza, it?s underneath the toppings and not cheesy at all. We hadarancini and it was also flavourless. Most of the food we just left and there was no desire for a takeout box. Just a heads up,if your customers are not finishing their food, you may want to educate your servers to ask what was wrong of if something couldbe replaced. Unfortunately, there are many restaurants in Calgary that run like this. I have no idea how you make money when youserve food like this. I am just being 100% honest with my review. By the looks of the star ratings, someone is plugging thisrestaurant with fake reviews. There is no way in hell this restaurant is carrying a 4.5 star rating. Pizza was okay, there are better options at the price point however. Actually Pretty Good and Noble Pie easily beat this place... in terms of quality. The dips are good though! The experience I had with the calamari was less than ideal. Looking at thephotos on Google I was expecting something that looked like calamari. Delicately breaded, golden rings of perfection. What Igot when I ordered was overcooked, incredibly dry, and breaded to the point where it was more bread than actual calamari. I?msurprised someone actually looked at this and thought, yep, that looks good enough to serve. Very disappointing. Read more
I had lunch at PZA Parlour with a hockey team and parents. I ordered a small Otto pizza (artichokes, ham, mushrooms, tomato... sauce and mozarella) because it was different from the type of pizza I eat at home. The pizza exceeded my expectations inportion size and taste. The other pizzas ordered at our table also looked great too. I definitely recommend checking out PZAParlour if you want to enjoy excellent pizza. Read more
We were here for opening on Mother's day 2022. We commend the staff for taking in our group of 15. The service was great and... accommodating. The atmosphere was cute and lovely. Most of the food was delicious. We ordered calamari and pigs can fly tostart. The super fun ghi pizza was absolutely delicious. The carbonaras we great. Our only critique would be the alfredo. Wesent back two dishes of the alfredo because they were bland. We swapped them our for two carbonara but at this point it tooksome time to get our replacement dishes, so we got them to go. Best pizza I?ve ever had. I?ve been going here for years and haven?t been in about a year, pleasantly surprised that this place... just keeps getting better. We came for an anniversary, and they had an incredible live pianist who even sang. He was absolutelywonderful and made the experience. So gorgeous and romantic and memorable. Lovely atmosphere. The vibe was very lively and upbeat. Lots of fun and interesting Italian motifs. They have a piano and play live music, which... was a nice touch and really contributed to the atmosphere. Our server was also attentive and hard-working. Unfortunately, wehad to wait over an hour for our food (dine-in). It was disappointing to see dozens of takeout boxes go out the door, andseemingly none of the tables in the actual restaurant were being served. Once we did get our pizza however, it was solid. Theywill need to change their system of service or increase their capacity in the kitchen because waiting for that long is simplynot acceptable. Read more
