We had the Coterie to share. We had come to try the brisket, however ours was dry and disappointing. But all the other meats we... had were delicious. The chicken tenders were very crispy, chicken was super moist and the sausages very flavourful. Skip themango habanero sauce though if you can’t handle spice. It was too hot for us to enjoy. Updated from 4 to 5 stars! - Visited Prairie Dog Brewing again and had an awesome experience. Same as the first time, the food... was great, the beer is fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful. This BBQ spot is certainly one of, if not the best inCalgary! I appreciated how much parking there was, the clean individual bathrooms, and how much they cater to children (and ababy). I will certainly be visiting again. I've removed my original complaint of slow seating because after this visit it wasapparent that's not the case. Staff were very attentive to our needs and delivered great service with a smile. A big thanks tothe Prairie Dog team for showing my international visitors what Beer and BBQ in Calgary is all about! Food is really good. We tried “The Full Pit” plate. It cost $98 . And it’s really big for two person. Probably 3-4 person... can share this plate. I can put 5 stars for food and 3 stars for beer. We tried 8 deferent flavours me and my friend. We don’tfind the one. Recommend for food. I hope they will make more new taste in their future. Read more
My pulled pork poutine with deep fried cheese curds was absolutely delicious. ???? Craft beer is awesome with huge selection to... chose from. My Grizzly Paw Cocktail was tasty too. Cant wait to come back. Love this place! Read more
This is a nice place to hang out with friends casually. The beer is brewed in-house, I think, and they have an assortment of... drinks and cocktails for everyone. I had a burger and my friend had the chicken wings. Everything tasted really good. The 3stars is because we had a small issue with the seating arrangement as everyone was clustered in one area. We requested to sitsomewhere else but a stern, older man said no. My friend was very tempted to walk out in that moment, but I pacified him becauseI couldn't be bothered to look up another place to hangout ??????????? Beyond that, our server was really nice. The food wasgood. Ample parking space as well. Update: I liked that the management took my initial three-star review seriously andgraciously reached out to me. Hung out with friends here afterwards and it was a nice experience. The patio was open, thedrinks were delicious and the wings tasted so good.. The service was also very nice. Read more
It is quite the cavernous place to feast on BBQ. The servers do a really good job of keeping up with the patrons and never... letting their glasses go empty. There are many delightful beers on tap to compliment any of the succulent BBQ meats theyprovide. The variety of meat here is refreshingly varied and prepared very well. The portions were a little smaller than I hadhoped for. The 2 person sampler seemed more like a 1 person sampler. It tasted great though. It would also be great to have morevisual aides for their sauces that are available. It sometimes felt like work trying to understand what they serve abd whatsides are available. If you are a repeat customer it probably gets easier. It is certainly easy to see the building and findparking too. Read more
I’ve been here 3 times and it’s consistently been good. In my most recent visit I was most impressed with the size of their... beer list!! So many to try. My bf and I got two flights of 6 beers and there were still many we didn’t get to. Nexttime! Note: tip is included in the menu pricing. So no need to tip here. Some people love it, others hate it but just be awarethat’s their policy! Oh, and it’s family friendly! Which was amazing because it’s tough to find a fun place that allowskids. My friends have 2 three year olds so booster seats and a kids menu were extremely helpful. Read more
Tried prairie dog after driving past it for so long meaning to go in. I was not disappointed. My husband got a flight and all 4... beers he tried were great. I unfortunately didn't get to partake as I'm pregnant but will be back so I can try them myself. Igot the boar and bison burger with fries and my husband had the prairie dog burger. The boar and bison was great, I especiallyenjoyed the sage and apple aioli on it, such a unique pairing of flavours and it was delicious. We also tried the brioche breadpudding for dessert. The bread pudding was soft and moist and the Coulee was great, and the stout buttercream was excellent. Wealso had the fried cheese curds to start and who doesn't love fried cheese, it comes with a delicious smokey tomato sauce. Myonly complaint about the food is that some of the fries were a little over cooked but overall enjoyed the food. The atmosphereand the staff are great. Definitely worth a try. Read more
