Delicious authentic home made food, we ordered the two pio to share and was $25 dolars for a big plate, Ceviche and Tamal for... appetizzers as delicious as the main dish, two maracuya sangrias with a secret ingredient (brand new taste for me) and alfajores(cookies filled with dulce de leche) as dessert , everything was especially well done, with flavor and love, made me feel athome and believe me i don't usually enjoy restaurant's food but this one is other thing. Took my friend there for the first time, he said it was the best roast chicken he had in recent memory and he is not... wrong. Chicken is extremely tender, juicy and succulent, perfectly cooked to perfection. Choice of 4 different sauces, from mildto spicy. Try their Tamale, you will not be disappointed. Lived in Calgary a short time now and have had a few places. The quality, quantity and flavour of this food is perfect. I... enjoyed every single dish from the yellow rice to the beans. A fun place serving authentic Peruvian food. Was in the mood for some noodles and beef and it was fresh and hot with a little... spice to it. Takeout was packaged well with space for steam to escape and included utensils. Looking forward to trying otheritems on the menu next time. A taste of home!! In my town there is no way to properly reproduce the delicious flavors of Peru - it was such a delightful... treat to find Pio and finally get to eat "real" Peruvian food! The Ceviche was delicious and reminded me of beach days atPimentel. The Lomo was perfect! Most of all, the service was so friendly and warm - it was as though we were back in Peru! I have to say that this food is amazing. The lomo saltado has a perfect size and outstanding taste. The Jalea Real is very good... also but I think it is a little bit small for the price. The ceviche is one of the best I have tried. All ingredients are freshand the flavours are so incredible. I give them five stars because the flavours made me want to go back. Read more
