Rainy, cozy, cloudy weather calls for chowder & fish n chips! I'm so glad a restaurant like this exists in Calgary--it was... perfect for satisfying the chowder cravings. The interior decor is also very cute! The seafood chowder is, as the namesuggests, hearty with a good amount of seafood for every spoonful. The pollock and haddock were tasty and fresh. The breadingwas crunchy which is exactly what I like. The server did an incredible job on a busy Sunday afternoon. Being the only server totake care of the entire dining room because they were short staffed, she still greeted everyone with a smile, checked on eachtable, and still gave us menu recommendations for next time! The wait for the food to come out wasn't long either despite this.Gold stars to her; I wish I'd gotten her name. Read more

We?re happy we tried this place. The fish was tasty and cooked to perfection. The fries were nice, but slightly dry, still ate... them all. The tartar sauce was excellent. The decor is exactly what you would expect, comfortable and clean. The service wasextremely friendly and efficient. They have fresh and frozen seafood for sale as well. We would highly recommend. Excellent food, generally fast service despite only a single person working on the floor. Had fish and chips and fish tacos.... Fish was flaky and hot, breading was light and crispy. Would come back again for more fish and chips :) Read more

More like Treasure Pier! These guys make the best seafood I?ve ever had this far away from the ocean, the staff also treat me... and my little girl like family. Breaded scallops and coconut shrimp is what I started with for first few orders (The captainscombo) - but then I started exploring their other items and me and the wife did a solid month and a half of fish tacos maybe 3times a week ???? - My favourite soup these days is their SEAFOOD chowder I usually grab one of those to take home- Then theyhave different types of fish and chips if your into the usual seafood classics but I rather their chicken sandwich or just eatthree orders of salad in one sitting that usually works too- ( the in-house salad dressing made with love) One thing I wouldchange is I wish there was more ability to add-on extra scallops to a meal instead of its own independent meal and I would liketo see more crab and lobster outside of special seasons. 10/10 still coming here regularly and recommend to anyone eitherlooking to get into seafood or someone who wants a reliable fish joint that?s always open! I have always driven past Pelican Pier, and finally I dined in. Everything my friend and I ordered was tasty and fish was... perfectly fried. The chef even split our fish and chips order on separate plates; much thankful and impressed. If you'replanning a trip here, don't forget to get a slice of pie too! (Their key lime pie is epic). See you soon Pelican Pier Read more

What a hidden little gem, this place is. It was great. Our waitress was friendly, service was quick. I had the cod & chips, my... granddaughter had the nuggets & fries. This was the best fish and chips I've had in quite some time. The batter was light andthin so I could taste the fish. I will definitely be back. Read more
