Reviews for Pacini Calgary Southeast in Calgary, AB
Went for a nice dinner. Wife and I had drinks at the bar before sitting for dinner. She had some gin and tonic and I had shock... top beers. Her gin and tonic was $7 (which she asked the price in advance) so I assumed my beers would around the same. Boy wasI wrong! $13 per beer! Now I'm not a cheapskate but $13!!! What a rip off! Bottom line, food was good, service was good, valuefor money, stay away. Read more
Laura was the server for our group of 24 celebrating a birthday. She vastly improved our experience with food suggestions that... would work well in a group situation. I opted for a few appies and a few pizzas that were cut into smaller pieces. I wasimpressed with their non-meat options as some of the attendees did not eat meat. The pizza was what I would expect from a moretraditional Italian style pizzeria. The crust wasn't spongy or doughy, more like a thin crust or slightly more. What makes itmore authentic is that you can taste the flavours... the simple elements as you would in Italy. The space wasn't closed in, butit felt intimate. We felt comfortable to mix and celebrate. Laura kept everyone's beverages full, alcohol, juice or pop. Shedid a great job in distributing the food and generously cut the cake. Laura, her manager and the rest of the staff made thisspecial occasion effortless and delicious. She even took our pic. I work in the service sector and I wanted to recognize astandard I would strive for. Read more
I have eaten at Pacini many times as I stay at Holiday Inn South quite often. Food is very good and service is always good.... Tonight, Laura (red head Laura) provided outstanding service which made my dinner very pleasant. Thank you Laura and lookforward to coming back. Read more
The best restaurant in Calgary, very good service, they were so accommodating to our big group seating requirements ????, the... chef is brilliant, I ordered the crusted cod and I was so specific on the amount of sauce. The chef prepared it exactly aswanted besides, the spaghetti was cooked with little oil and not as many restaurants who add lots of butter to boost the taste. These guys are certainly are preparing the best food in the city. Went for the Valentines pre-set menu. The food was good. But the service by our server Jordan was horrid. She rather spend time... talking to her co-workers then watching over her tables. Thus the 3 star review. Read more
I loved a lot of things about this place; however, not the most fresh food! The “toast and butter your own” station was... really fun. The food portions are big. Loved that the water is free, some Italian restaurants charge an arm and a leg forsparkling water! The one complaint I have is that the food was cold, both of ours. I understand that we went later at night butit was basically re-heated food in the microwave - colder on top and warmer on the bottom, but definitely not made to order. Fora restaurant serving Italian food, I’d expect higher food quality and freshness. Our server was so lovely, she went over andbeyond for us and really made the visit enjoyable. Wish I knew her name to include here! Read more
Great, sincere service, delicious foods and fairly standard pricing for an upscale Italian place; honestly some of the best... in-house hotel food I’ve ever had. Lots of options too for everyone! Read more
Went here on a Saturday night and it was extremely quiet, maybe 3 other families in the restaurant. They have a bread bar which... is absolutely amazing! The menu says it costs $3 with a main course but the staff told us it was free. Either way I think it'sworth it for the experience. They had all kinds of breads and spreads with a little toasting station to stand around and chatwhile waiting for the bread. Service was excellent and the food was good too. I had the pene with duck and goat cheese and itwas amazing if you like rich flavors. Read more
