Wow! If you've lived in Calgary long you know there's no shortage of great Chinese restaurants. This one, however, is unique in... that it is a neighborhood gem. Located in SW suburbia, the neighborhood of Oakridge, it is truly unique. Usually, one wouldhave to make a trip downtown for an amazing Chinese meal but not in this case. The food was hot, fresh (literally just off ofthe burner) when I picked it up) and absolutely delicious! If you're a fan of pan fried pork and vegetable dumplings, please, doyourself a favor and order these. We ordered from here for the first time tonight. It will be our last time. Wasting here is like saying skim milk is better... than no milk. Every dish had the sauce watered down. To the point where the sauce wouldn't even stay on the meat/noodles. Weordered: ginger beef that tasted ok, but watered down. The meat itself was good. Stir fry veggies with black bean sauce. This was actually good and the only thing not watered down. House special Shanghai noodles. These were a bit overcooked andthe Sauder was very watered down and tasteless. The kicker for us was the satay beef shanghi noodles. They were absolutelytasteless. Like, I don't know if it's just terrable or if they actually forgot the sauce all together. They were also veryovercooked, to the point where they were mush. It only gets 2 stars rather than 1 because the meat was ok. We are extremelydisappointed and won't be back. I honestly don't understand the 4+ rating. Maybe it's gone down due to covid but....yuck. Read more
