There is an extension of the patio which makes the capacity even greater. I've come here multiple times, even though there are... pounds closer to my residence, because the staff is great and the food is top notch. We showed up around 4:30 looking for atable of 10+ people. Excellent atmosphere and staff. Came in around 2:30 on a Wednesday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. The waitress was... super efficient and friendly. She greeted me within a few minutes of sitting down and got me a drink promptly. My food came outquickly and was of amazing quality. Definitely will be coming back and likely bringing others here. If you like a nice place tosit and have lunch or visit with friends, this is the place. The music isn?t loud, and people don?t have to shout over eachother. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The 2 large garage style doors at the front of the pub provides a view of 17th Ave and makes it feel... even more spacious when they are open. Also, there was a nice breeze which kept it cool even though was it very busy. Theserver was friendly and attentive, never had to wait for our drinks. Read more

Newcastle is a great neighbourhood pub. Food is good, staff friendly, lots of energy and nice clientele. We stop in for a... drink and a meal regularly. Good nightly specials and numerous big screens to watch sports. When we are in the manager stops byto ensure everything is good the majority of our visits - no question there is a very healthy focus on haply customers! Read more
