I had won a gift card for Merchants and last cold Sunday evening thought we'd revisit the restaurant. On the advice of our... server we both ordered fish and chips and honestly we were really disappointed. The menu described the entire as being "freshGuinness beer battered Atlantic cod". What was served can best be described as fish sticks and warm fries. The fish wasobviously packaged and not freshly battered on site and the surrounding fries were tepid. My companion asked our friendly serverfor fresh fries right out to fryer and in a few minutes we were able to at least enjoy them. Hoping for better we choose toshare the desert item described as warm pecan pie. What we received was a small pecan tart. Fortunately it was OK as a tart buthardly a "pie". On balance a disappointing meal out. Read more

For me, this is the pinnacle of dinning in Calgary. The food is absolutely amazing. Everything I order I'm blown away by how... much thought and care is put into each dish. The staff are all great, and I love seeing managers and owners out talking withcustomers. Makes for such a well run establishment. Read more

It's in a trendy part of the city close to downtown. There's some lost potential on the menu as the food is average, and... certainly doesn't match the aspirations of the wine list with some of the wines topping over $2,000. Read more

This is where the party is in Mardaloop. Came here on a random Weds night and it was bumpin! Great vibes, great patio. Although... very busy, our server Brie was on top of it, kept our drinks topped and never had to look for her. Professional! ... Food wasgood too! Read more

Definitely on my list of places to never go again. The experience as a whole was terrible. So firstly our server had zero... knowledge about the menu (which had such limited selection as it is) and was not very helpful at explaining the dishes. Nor didshe make an effort to go ask someone else. The restaurant was not busy at all however our food sat getting cold while the serverwas doing nothing else. She did not check up on us, refill waters or make any effort to make us feel at comfort. at the end Ichose not to tip I was already paying for cold food and had recieved no service. The server comes and tells me that because Ididn't tip she is going to have to pay out half my bill. As a business that is horrible. So I felt bad and tipped her because Ithought half my bill is hefty amount to pay considering it was food for 4 with drinks. I don't think a server should be soseverely penalized and as a business you should realize tipping is a choice and by allowing staff to say this to a customer itobviously puts pressure to tip or else you're affecting someone else income. I am disappointed in this business Read more

The staff are excellent! Nicole our server is very professional and pleasant as well as the hostess and other servers. The food... was phenomenal especially the chef trio. My buddy and I who both works and practice customer relations had an interestingencounter with the service manager Blaire. We brought to his attention that the plate which our appetizers was served on hadsome smudge on them that also partly comes off when you wipe it down. Initially, I thought they were part of the design of theplates, though comparing it to the other plate which is pearly white you can clearly see the difference. The manager said that?the plate is worn out? and that he have nothing to say and that if it?s not satisfactory just don?t eat it and he will take itoff our bill. The approach was a bit unpleasant and stand offish which I rarely encounter on hospitality and, food & beverageindustry. It shouldn?t be a big deal, we just want to confirm if the smudge is dirt and if it?s safe to eat. Later he came backand said he ordered new plates and remove all the ?worn out? plates. The resolution would have been nice the first time, maybe alittle refresher on customer relations. However, we understand that he might just be having a bad day. However, I thought I willbring it up for constructive feedback. As a first timer in this nice restaurant, the encounter left me with a bit of a badexperience. Read more
