I had initially tried Meat and Bread years ago in Vancouver, and after our first visit we religiously stopped by every time we... got the chance. Since adulting and covid we haven?t had the chance to make it down to Vancouver let alone Calgary, but thisrecent family trip gave me my opening and I was hellbent on making everyone check out of our hotels later than usual to makethis my first stop of the day. At 11AM on a Friday, I was circling their shop for a good 15 minutes before I finally walkedthrough those doors. The slab of porchetta on the counter immediately caught my eyes, and I was beyond elated. We opted for theclassic Porchetta and the Meatball,both sitting at $13.50 each. Crispy pig skin sprinkled onto juicy pieces of roasted pork,sandwiched between some immaculate pieces of bread. I didn?t try the meatball but both parties enjoyed it. Was it as good as Iremember? Absolutely. Am I going to make my way over here any chance I get? Definitely. I did forget to get some sauces to gowhich was a downer but learning from my mistakes for a later visit! Read more
Had a meeting at the Palliser and decided to grab a sandwich from Meat and Bread as I'd heard their porchetta sandwich ???? is... amazing, it is!! I got it to go and it was still super juicy even when I got home. The staff is amazing and I'll definitely beback to try other sandwiches. The only note I'd make is to add a side of mustard with takeaway. Read more
I?ve been to Meat & Bread three times for lunch in the past couple months and every time it?s really good. I?ve had the buffalo... chicken sandwich every time and despite my desire to try something else that buffalo sauce keeps calling me back. It really is aperfect combination of sweet & spicy and it compliments the very fresh tasting chicken quite well. These things are only as goodas the bread which has been perfectly fresh and soft with just the right chewiness. The staff are very kind and as I was leavingthey thanked me kindly for coming. It is about $15 after the tip for a relatively small sandwich but for the quality of theingredients I would say it is a reasonable price. I?ll definitely be back next time I?m in the area! Read more

First off, I love the name of this place! Meat & Bread. No BS just direct and straight to the point. The sandwiches here are... fantastic!! The corn beef sandwich was definitely amazing and for anybody who wants a simple and yet delicious sandwich this isthe place to be. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Always delicious. My best friend and I usually split one of our regular go to's and one of the rotating specials. Went for the... steak special. Very tasty creation with potato matchsticks piled on top for some nice texture. Porchetta is a must and a staple.Meatball is my second go to. If you like a really great, super satisfying, no fuss but gourmet sandwich, give meat and bread atry. Read more
Seriously some of the best food I've had! Their sandwich, soup, salad and dip pairings are so good; the flavors compliment each... other so well. I got hooked when I tried them in Vancouver for the first time years ago, and was so glad to find out they had alocation in Calgary as well! Read more
