Been going to Madators since they opened in 1976. Great neighborhood pizza and pasta restaurant. Food portions have always been... excellent for price. Service always good. Food is very good. Though since changing owners a few years back, the pizza is not asgood, still good, but not as good. Pizza is nice and thick slice, you do get awesome portion for your $$. Bit pricey but otherwise a great experience. Pretty lovely establishment. I am all for plastic straws in drink glasses so you... don?t get the liquid all over your face, and they still had plastic straws! The paper ones just don?t feel the same. Very quickservice in terms of the mozzarella sticks. They were quite good too, went down easy and had a decent cheese pull. Cheesy pizzanice and filling. This is the very definition of a neighbourhood family restaurant. Their pizzas are piled high with generous, high-quality... toppings. Monday night is wing night, great for quick bites at modest prices. We come here for late dinners because they're openlonger than most places. Try the souvlakis (which are on special Thursday nights), and the beef barley soup. Read more
Amazing pizza. Top quality crust and sauce made in house. Tons of cheese. Not fake oil based cheese like most other pizza places... use, but good quality cheese and it is placed on top of the toppings unlike most other places who put their toppings on top ofthe cheese which is disgusting. I used to order Matadors when I lived nearby about 20 years ago. I remember the pizzas being very tasty, loaded with toppings... and a classic crisp cheese top. I was not disappointed last night when ordering from this place again! Matadors produces ahigher grade pizza compared to the typical ?fast food/delivery? pizza joints. The pizza typically is heavy and thick withtoppings and cheese, medium thick crust at the handle and medium-thin under the toppings. The pizza has a great amount ofcheese, baked to a crisp on the surface and gooey down into the toppings. I ordered a large Matador Special pizza, a 12?. Letsstart honest and say this is a $38 pizza before delivery fees and tip. Its the priciest pizza they make. Its a bit higher thanwhat people are used to. But I can say the toppings are thick and each slice is almost a meal in itself. The pizza tastes greattoo. I had the leftovers chopped up and dipped in egg/milk to make my traditional Pizza Eggs breakfast bowls. If you want ahigher quality, classic, topping-loaded pizza that doesn?t cut corners, consider Matadors, and shell out some extra for theSpecial. Its delicious! Read more
The pizza was very good, the beer super cold and the server was kind. I do not give the fifth star because they do not offer... bacon (streaky) as item for the pizza, only back bacon which is different but anyway.... the pizza we ordered was delicious. Highly recommended. Read more
