Why is it ok for customer service to be non existent today? I came in and the over powereing smell of cleaner was intense. I... slipped slightly on the wet floor -no wet floor sign- please warn people as I was taken off guard a let out a little yip as Islipped. No reaction from either workers there. Then the clerk seemed put out that she had to serve me. It was my firsttime and said so and that I would need some time. Tried to be jovial and she was not having it...blank stare again. Then shejust stood there staring at me waiting for me to decide. I felt pressure to hurry up. If people aren't happy working in an icecream store, where you can serve yummy treats to people, please take a job not working with customers. I did not feel welcomethere and no smiles or pleasantries or even a" your welcome " in response to my thank you...and as a goodbye, she yelled whosenext to 2 people the other clerk was helping! I won't go back. I love ice cream and it's my treat. I will drive 15 min to LAdiperie or 20 min to lics where I'm treated like they are happy to see me, polite and helpful and the price is better as well(it was more expensive here and i didnt even add anything to it!! )!! Please help foster better cx service. The ice creamitself is good, but nothing you can't get at the grocery store. Read more
In trying to support local in honesty I can't see myself returning to Marble Slab, $7 for a small cone, not doable. Wasn't all... that keen on the flavor either. Read more
Overall a good ice cream shop. They have good and delicious ice cream, and also has good service and helpful staff. Prices are... quite expensive compared to other shops (roughly $8 for a regular cone), but they are reasonable with coupons, which you canaccess on their website. Also, sign up for their newsletter for good deals and a birthday surprise. Read more
Ugh - went here to get a couple tubs of dairy-free (yes it's brutal, but a condition none the less!), and the cashiers only... pointed to one flavor. Upon asking if she had more- she said "maybe". I asked her to check, and the other employee said therewas some in another freezer. So I went to the far side of the store where they had two different prices, and I asked for claritybecause I wanted to buy two pints - same flavor but because it wasn't packaged that way, she said it was impossible to give methe price of a pint by combining the two half-pints. She seemed to not understand I was only asking because the other "dairy"products came in this size... but not the dairy-free. I asked If she could just package them Into a regular container (non'dairy-free') and she said it was possible. I mean... it's not "impossible ", but she seemed really confused as to why I wantedthis. I told her the price was a fraction of what it would be if I had to buy two separate... but it wasn't my fault they didn'thave them in pint sizes!! Anyways ... she was super irritated and huffy-puffy rude with attitude when I asked if they could ask,she said "probably not" ... so I just left. Went to Safeway across the parking lot and got a better deal on what turned out tobe amazing ice cream. Sorry Marble Slab - won't come back EVER AGAIN with staff attitudes and pricing like that!! In terms of this particular store, I came here with my wife during the weekday after they just opened and the employee turned us... away because the iced cream was apparently frozen and too hard to scoop. Some flavours were out as well. So we had to travel toanother Marble Slab at Market Mall just to get a scoop of iced cream. There is not a lot of space to sit. The iced cream isgreat but pricey, be sure to show your AMA card for 15% off. I would not recommend this particular restaurant. Read more
Odd one out... Products and customer service at this branch are noticeably inferior from other branches of marble slab in... Calgary. For instance, far fewer reeces on my cake than were shown on the website. When I mentioned this aberration to therepresentative, she did not acknowledge. She could have satisfied me by topping it up with more reeces. Moreover, this branchis less cleaner than their general standard. I have always found flavours of my choice from here. Read more
What a difference a year makes. There is frost inside the coolers, and on the Tiger ice cream. It appears they could not add... happy birthday to my cake and tried to cover it up, photos attached. A slice of qote Edmonton ble chocolate covering the topand whip cream. Last year I reviewed and said best place for ice cream cakes, now I won't go back for anything. Read more
Got the birthday cone from Marble Slab today and decided to upgrade the cone. It was very delicious!
