12.03.22 @ 5:40pm The girls need training on what products they sell. I was unsure of what I wanted. Ended up going with Apple... caramel crumble from the freezer. Asked questions. "Whats it like? Is there cake inside? What flavor of ice cream is it? Does ithave apples?" They said it's like a cake. "It has this Apple ice cream in it." Even gave me a taste of the bright green Appleice cream, that she said was in the crumble. WRONG!!! All this is, is Graham crumbs on the bottom (lotssss of it) vanilla icecream in the middle with caramel drizzle then topped with EVEN MORE GRAHAM CRUMBS. Awful. No taste of Apple anywhere. I hosted an 80's dance party for 80 this month and Derek, owner of Marble Slab 130th, set us up with a Marble Slab Ice... Cream Sundae Bar. The ice cream flavors were pre-ordered and came ready to go in super freezer boxes along. Dance partyvolunteers took turns serving the mixin's and toppings at the Sundae bar we'd set up. It was a huge hit! Derek worked with mytime frames and really went out of his way to make it possible to add this special highlight to a night of funtastic memories! I rarely go to Marble Slabs - until I took my son into the one on 130th! Thanks to the extraordinary ice cream experience... provided by Ashely we came back again the week after. Again, we were treated to generous ice cream cones filled with ourfavorite toppings, super friendly customer service and a work around when the app didn't work so we could still get ourdiscount! Now we're die hard fans! While there, I met Derek the owner, who took time to chat with me. This man goes to unthdegree to keep his customers happy, which isn't easy these days with corporation head offices focused on profits and moreprofits. Derek treats his staff like family - and his customers like gold he doesn't want to lose. Derek and his Marble Slabteam deserve our community support. Thank you Derek, Ashley, Amy, Arseni, Kasey and Kiah! Hope I didn't miss anyone. You all doa great job keeping customers happy. [The banana ice cream has real bananas and is delicious. Didn't think I'd like Green Applebut after a sample, I was sold. My husband resents the high prices so wouldn't go - until I bought him a liter of mint chocolatechip with almonds. He said he couldn't believe the difference in quality and the amount of chocolate chips. But the only MarbleSlab we'd go to is 130th. Ashley - thank you for the awesome ice cream experience! This is the ONLY Calgary location we will go to. You went the extra... mile to make our custom cones EXACTLY like we asked. When we walked into the store, we were prepared to walk out again and crossMarble Slab stores off our go-to treats list. At other locations we'd tried, we got such miserly ice cream portions for an8.00 cone, the whole thing turned to complete mush when you add berries, carmel and topping. Not so with Ashley on 130th. Ashleyset the gold standard for Marble Slab customer service - she actually cared enough to make sure we were Wowed. And yes, we toldall our friends. What the world needs now is more people like Ashley in the front lines - and sitting on corporate executiveboards! Read more

Nice place with alot of variety. They are tucked away in a little mall off of 130th between Canadian Tire and The Keg. The lady... working their seemed friendly but not the greatest customer service. I wasn't sure what kind of cone or icecream to get andended up just getting a plain cone. I did not know how they can add toppings or did they suggest I should. I've been. I'vebeen told that this come was too plain and I should of gotten more of the experience with the topping and watched how they mixit. I did not know and felt like I was robbed of the first time I've cream experience here. I will just have to try anotherstore with more helpful staff. Read more
