Ok people... I'm from the East coast.. when the place first opened it was pretty close the original KOD I grew up with. New... ownership has no clue. They have it completely wrong. Here is my tip to the new owner. Take a flight to Halifax and bag them totrain you... Don't come back with new ideas because your ideas suck! Way to wreck a good thing. Read more

If you order a Brothers Donair, it will be hit or miss if you actually get the pepperoni you paid extra for; the staff seems to... think people won't notice between the time they order and the time they unwrap the food. If you actually want to get what youpay for, go down the street to Blowers and Grafton. Read more

I travel a lot for business and I am use to a little delays for deliverable but this place takes the gold medal for horrendous... service. I am also used to getting pizza and donairs from a lot of places, back in Halifax I rave about KOD. This place tookover almost 2 hours to delivery food 8 blocks during non peak hours, I called to ask where it was and the staff was veryunconcerned that they have now missed dinner and moving to a late night snack. And even after I called after 1hour20minutes ,they still took another 40 minutes. On top of that, food was cold, they gave me the wrong drinks, and try to make it up to mewith free cookies. Absolutely horrible. KOD should be ashamed of allowing these guys to be a franchise of theirs Read more

Yesterday my boyfriend ended up paying shy of $40 for two donairs and 1 fry. The fries had barely anything in the container. The... donairs were decently sized but were falling apart and absolutely not worth $40. The sauce was practically just sugar.Absolutely NEVER coming back. Read more

I would give 5 stars because the donairs are amazing BUT, Skip won't deliver to my work and Door Dash won't. Uber eats will... HOWEVER, started to place my order 3 min after they opened (11:03) and Uber Eats said delivery at 12:45 to 1:15...2HOURS. Google says it's 17 min to my work. Would have ordered if it was only 1 hour Read more

If you?re reading this let?s make it a point to collectively call the shop back home and complain until they do something about... it. This is completely unacceptable. Went in with great expectations and was completely let down in all aspects. Service left alot to be desired. The donair sauce somehow tasted like butter????????. This needs to be rectified because this is absolutelynot acceptable. All I wanted was a pool of real donair sauce to dip my cheesy, bready, garlicy greatness in. I don?t think that?stoo much to ask for???? Read more

I have been here twice and will not return. Here's why: Round 1: On my first visit I ordered two medium donairs (original + hot... blonde). When the brown bag with the food hit my hand I stood for a few moments waiting for another. Why? The bag was so light Iassumed that only one of my donairs had been handed over. After pausing, I poked around the outside of the bag and felt whatappeared to be two distinct wraps, and so I headed home with my food. When I opened the bag I was utterly disappointed. For $10($11 for the hot blonde) I was provided with wraps that were a mere 6 inches in length. The wraps were also formed in anaggressive cone shape, making the size even more underwhelming. After taking a photo (provided) I unwrapped the hot blonde for ataste. Surely, the original east coast donair's quality would make up for its size. Nope! The meat was bland, cheese smelledslightly moldy, pita was thin, and the entire ensemble was a mess that you?d definitely want a knife and fork for. At thispoint, I was never going back, and intent on spreading the word. Round 2: A friend shares a social media post from King ofDonair advertising half-priced pizzas. Coming off of round 1 with the donairs, I was hesitant. However, I hadn't tried theirpizza, and at half price I could pick up a medium for just $9. So I committed to giving King of Donair a second chance andordered up a Brother's pepperoni pizza as well as another donair (this time, the Supreme sized original for $14). When I pickedup the food I was hopeful - the pizza would be a surprise, and the donair seemed weightier. Unfortunately, nothing turned out asI had anticipated. The donair was 9 inches long, and still formed in an aggressive cone shape. In regards to donair quality, there was no difference from round 1. The pizza was another big disappointment. It was very cheesy, however I sense King ofDonair feels that loads of cheese can replace everything else that makes a quality pizza. Cheese aside, the sauce Read more

Best donair in Calgary. Great to finally see some authentic Halifax style food in this city. The donairs in Calgary are... laughably bad and don't use the proper sauce or toppings Garlic fingers and egg rolls are on point as well???? Read more
