Came here for brunch and had the hazelnut latte and for food, tried the Cobb salad and duck leg.\n\nThe duck was very tender... with a nice crispy skin and could certainly eat another one. The Cobb salad was more standard and perhaps could use some corn ormicro greens (also was not a fan of the blue cheese but some people might).\n\nThe place carries a nice relaxing atmosphere andthe service was friendly. Wow! Best breakfast I’ve had in Calgary! Rode here on our bikes. Sat outside on the patio. Wonderful service and interior!... Amazing tasting ingredients! Already wanting to go back to try something else on the menu! It’s really close to the peacebridge, so we biked around after brunch and enjoyed beautiful Calgary! Definitely a hidden gem in Calgary! Beautiful, quaint restaurant in the heart of downtown! The place is very modern and homey looking. Very pretty inside. The... coffee is delicious too.\nI had the smashed pea and avocado sandwich with broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was not as hot as Iexpected it to be but the flavour was there so not a huge deal. The bread on the sandwich was the best part, you can tell it\'smade in house. I was pleasantly surprised with the garlic flavor in the avocado spread. Came for brunch a few weekends ago and was disappointed by the overall experience. Our server did not check on us after getting... our order, another staff member was the one to drop off our meal. The portions in the meal were small, I was shocked by how manypotatoes I had - it came with less than 3 baby potatoes total. The food itself was tasty but nothing special for the price andsize. We were never asked if we wanted more coffee or water and the only time the server came was to give us the bill. Read more
Lovely cafe serving the finest quality dishes I’ve enjoyed in a long time - one example is a Lobster Benedict in a dark... brioche bun with superb homemade hollandaise sauce. The careful attention to detail is much appreciated and the freshingredients in each dish is apparent. I hesitate to reveal this wonderful establishment publicly as my selfish side would liketo keep this place to myself, but I would like them to stay in business and continue to visit them, and so I am sharing this gemof a cafe with you all. It was my pleasure to visit the Hutch Cafe in Downtown Calgary. This cafe was very elegant and calm. The ambience and decor was... British style.
