Whoever called this place ?the best pho in the city? you must be joking me. I?ve never had a soup that had no taste the suds... needed more mayo and the shrimp rolls needed a lot of help and after paying 65 dollars for food that made me want to go toMcDonald?s of all place I would have better food there then here, if I hear anyone that gets mad at me for not tipping on a 65dollar tab we didn?t get any water after our first cup I had to drink my moms and dads water because he would come and see if weneeded anything only came to take our dishes. Just overall probably the worst customer service I?ve ever had experienced in mylife. Sub was just okay but need more source. I just only taste mayo with dry beef. I know all place and price up but do not want to... pay for $10 for sub. I will try pho next time not sub. Read more
Probably the best all around viet place in Calgary. The fish sauce was excellent, the pork chop with scallion sauce was... amazing. Glad we came early on a Thursday lunch as the place got packed. But they still pumped the food out quickly. The phobeef was tender and broth was very good. My kids ate their whole bowls. Spring rolls were excellent and full of meat.Everything was cooked well and the family that runs this place is joyful. Sometimes bubble tea in smaller restaurants don'ttaste good, but their flavours and bubbles were perfect. I will be back. Read more
We have been going to Hong An for years now, we have tried Vietnamese restaurants all over Calgary and we still think that this... is the best one in the whole city! It is owned by the sweetest family who takes care of their clients like they are their ownfamily members. The best thing? Every meal we get has been consistently the same delicious food since 8 years ago AND there isno msg...we are never dying of thirst after and there is so much flavor in their food/home made broth. The rest of the menu isamazing (we have tried most of the menu but always keep going back to our fav pho soup cause we love the broth so much). The best pho in the city. This is the beef satay and curry beef soup - the curry beef is medium spicy, velvety broth. We have... been coming here for more than 5 years; our kids love it too, they split the kid-sized soup. We usually get the shrimp saladrolls or spring rolls, both amazing. Dine in or take out. The owners are some of the kindest, most hard working people I?ve evermet. They deserve support and have been keeping such a positive spirit through all the rules mandated. Read more
