Came in for the chilli and they were out but the baristas recommended another option so I got it, the next day they tried... charging me Lamaist double the price for the same item.. $8 for a bagel with pesto seems a bit stupid when yesterday she chargedme $4.50. First time at Higher Ground in Capitol Hill. We found it very dirty on the floor, tables and where the baristas were making our... coffees. We ordered 2 coffees and a Turkey Club and it took half hour to receive our food which was just horrible for the priceand there was no one in front of us that ordered food. The girl said it was just coming off the grill yet it was cold and puttogether very sloppy. The coffees were not to bad but unfortunatley due to the wait time on food and the cleanliness of the shopwe wont be back. Read more

The service was great. The few times I been there the customer service has been wonderful, for that I will give 5 stars. However... I find the coffeeshop to be quite dirty, every time I been here I have seen flies and spiders everywhere. The tables seems toalways have crumbs all over and the rail by the windows are pretty filthy too, seems like it hasn't been clean for months. Ihope they can clean up the shop a bit to make it more presentable. Read more

My breakfast was awesome. Tasty and with good balance of all ingredients. Dirty chai was a little bit bitter than usual, which... was great and far more better than bloody sweet pre-mix powder some cafe using. I was not sure if it was homemade chai. I'llcome back definitely. Read more
