This is not just a store. It is a destination shopping experience. It is like a instant trip to Europe. Sure I could buy some... of their items other places but I am willing to pay a bit more to support the atmosphere they have created here. The food isalso outstanding! Go here when you need a mini vacation! Read more

RUDE STAFF AND OVERPRICED ITEMS. As a German myself, I am very disappointed. The food/grocery items are not just a little... overpriced. Because I frequently travel to Germany, I am very familiar with brands and prices. On top of that the quality ismore than disappointing too. The Cheesecake has no flavor at all. Furthermore, most of the staff is very rude and not willing tohelp whatsoever. I wont be going back there anymore. Luckily Calgary has other amazing European food stores that are reasonablepriced and almost have the same selection. Read more

Visited this place upon recommendation by my Auntie in-law. The establishment is really nicely located and quite pretty from the... outside. Inside is super clean, and I REALLY enjoyed the selection of gorgeous hand made steins and cuckoo clocks! We had a bitof food too: schnitzel, Rouladen, and some Black Forest cake. The highlight was certainly the cake, the rest was justalright. I also managed to find some Dutch peppermints that I really enjoy, and remind me of my youth. What a fun nostalgicplace for me to visit! Read more

Quaint European exterior. I love the hybrid concept of a cafe, butchery/deli, gift shop, grocer in a single establishment. The... staff were asking if I needed help finding anything and seemed very friendly and lovely. Definitely will revisit to try theeats. Read more

Went here to buy Marzipan at the request of my wife. I asked the staff if they could help me out and a lady gave me this saying... it was Marzipan. It turns out it was not Marzipan (over double the almond percentage of commercial Marzipan). When I tried toreturn it, less then an hour later, unopened and untouched, I was told they would not take it back, and it was not up fordiscussion. Read more

We have heard a lot about this place and finally came to check it out. It is exactly like a village as its name suggests. It... has so much to offer, from unique European gifts to German baked goods to deli items to a dining room/takeout station with hotfood. It definitely made us feel like we were in a mini European village...they got good vibes here. We bought a few itemsincluding some deli items, a cool cookie cutter, a few hot chocolate packs, and some hot food to try. Some items are a bitpricey but hopefully it's worth it. I am looking forward to see how the German cookie cutter works. We tried the porkschnitzel and mild bratwurst. Both were good but the bratwurst definitely had more flavour. We will visit again later if weneed to get a feeling of Europe again. Read more

A magical place Visiting this store just before Christmas for the first time gave me probably the best possible impression. The... store is filled with the most beautiful baked goods, meals, Christmas decorations, ceramics, baking and cooking utensils, sweetsand even some remedies - everything original from Western Europe (Germany, Austria, Holland etc.) I was mainly blown away bytheir cookie cutter selection, but found other gems like molten wine spice and a Marzipan Stollen as well.
