Reviews for Earl of Sandwich in Calgary, AB
Although I love sandwiches but lately I have had to cut back on them; so when I do have one, it’s got to be worth it ??\nWas... in the area so I decided to give this place a try, and yes, it was worth it… I had the French Dip with wedges… the bread wassoft and tasty, the meat and cheese was well balanced and the au jus had the right amount of salt…\nEarl of Sandwich is now mynew favourite place for a good sandwich;\nThey are still new so I just hope the keep up..\nBut as of now, highly recommended forboth the food and the service.\n\nP.S: for those complaining about the potions… EoS sandwiches for me are worth their priceway more than the “foot-long” Read more
I\'m usually not a sandwich fan but my friend highly recommended this place and I was not disappointed. I tried the Chipotle... chicken avocado sandwich on the wheat bread and it was great! My complaint with sandwiches are that they can be quite dry, andif not dry then messy to eat, but Earl of Sandwich does a great job at avoiding both sandwich pitfalls. The sandwich I had wasflavourful and the chicken was juicy. Didn\'t drop a single thing or make a mess when I ate. Loved it. Read more
The portion, quality, and price of their items are perfect. I hope they keep this up! I got the beef dip sandwich and a cream of... brocoli soup and it definitely hit the spot. The jus for the beef dip is not too salty which is good, the bread i wished to beslightly more toasted but i enjoyed it still. I was asked if I wanted croutons or crackers with my soup and i said croutons butstill got crackers.\nThe servers were very nice and the establishment is clean. I will definitely come back and try more oftheir menu Read more
I was excited, and for good reason. The service was friendly and quick. The sandwiches were still warm when we got home and... everything we had hoped for. Mac n cheese is super creamy and well made. For what you pay, this place has a leg up in thesandwich game in the area. I will definitely be back. Read more
We were here for dinner opening weekend a month ago and then again today for lunch. Any bumps that they had at opening have... definitely worked out. We definitely were delighted with our food and it is up to the Earl of Sandwich standards we have fromlocations south of the border. 100% will be back. Read more
First time here today and overall it was pretty good. It\'s a bit disorganized trying to order, you really don\'t know where.... Even when I was at the end waiting for my sandwich a mother and daughter asked me if I was in line to pay, because you justdon\'t know where to order with all of the people mingling at the front in front of the little cashier and nobody is standingthere. I thought it was odd that the guy was making sandwiches and then coming back after a few minutes to take an order or two.And then goes back to the sandwich line leaving people kind of lost. Besides that the sandwich was good, I had a Cuban withextra pickles. It was missing mustard but I guess maybe I should have asked for that? It\'s not really clear. I wish it was justa little bit bigger, the meat on it was delicious but it\'s just not quite enough.\n\nI would come back and try othersandwiches, it\'s definitely better than the big sub chain next door. Can\'t believe Earl of Sandwich is finally in Calgary. They have the best bread, it\'s freshly baked, got a fantastic crust on... the outside and very fluffy on the inside. We for the Montague and Cuban with wedges. Loved it all. Read more
While I don’t normally eat sandwiches, I’ve seen the Earl of Sandwich chain in Vegas, and that location’s high ratings -... including on TripAdvisor.\n\nThe 130th ave location in Calgary has an affordable luxury feel to it. The Chipotle Chicken Avacadosandwich tasted fresh with balanced flavours. Unlike some competitors, it wasn’t overly salty. Similarly, the brownie wasn’toverly sweet.\n\nAt this price point, only slightly more than the cheapest fast food, it’s a full five stars. That said, I doagree with other commentators that the bread to filling ratio is on the low side, and the upgrade\nto extra meat and cheese isstrongly recommended.\n\nIf you only have a moment to eat something super fast, be aware that this strip mall area may sometimesbe congested at peak times, which can be unexpected for somewhere so distant from downtown.
