Very fresh and tasty food I ordered the Cantonese noodles with veggies, chicken, pork and shrimp and was very fresh and... flavorful. We ordered the lemon chicken and Ginger beef and really enjoyed both dishes. All the dishes had very nice portionstoo. I will look forward to eating the left overs for lunch the next day, yum! Glad they are close by because we will be back.Also, all the staff were very welcoming and very friendly upon entering the place. They gave that warm and fussy feeling whenyou leave. Thank you! We were craving some won ton soup to warm the soul. We decided to check out Hot Wok. While the curb appeal and interior of the... restaurant wasn't exactly inviting, there's something about it that screamed authentic! We ordered the Wor Won Ton Soup and somespring rolls. WOW! We ordered ?dinner for four? tonight plus a chicken chow mein. It could have easily fed 12, we will have leftovers for days! The... wonton soup was super impressive, most of the container was filled with huge meatball size wontons (other places you sometimesget just broth with a couple sad wontons). The other high point was the almond chicken. The meat was thick, juicy, and tender;and the batter was crispy and well done. The menu and pictures of dishes on their website looked good so we thought we?d try this place. As a first time customer we were... disappointed and therefore wouldn?t recommend this place due to the following reasons. - The pictures do not at all representwhat you get (salt and pepper chicken were chunks instead of strips, fried rice darkened with soy sauce and not as flavorful asother restaurants) - Beef in Black Pepper Sauce was more like beef and mixed vegetables. I?m not sure if this was an error ornot, but regardless, dish wasn?t peppery as expected. - Portions were smaller than typical (food just filled the bottom of thestyrofoam takeout container rather than heaped) - The free dish over $65 or $75 was not available because this isn?t apparentlyavailable during ?special days?. What is ?special days?? The taste was ok but nothing special. A much better alternative inroughly the same neighborhood with similar prices and a free dish are Toi Shan, A&P and Hot n Fast. How Wok Cafe is the best Chinese food ever!!! My boyfriend and I have been consistently coming here for the past two years and... each time, we are blown away by how delicious it is. Decently priced for the quality they provide and the staff is lovely.Always happy and friendly. During COVID when they were closed, we were craving Chinese food so we got some from another nearbyplace, and it just didn't meet the level of deliciousness as we found at Hot Wok. I will forever be comparing Chinese foodplaces to the standard that Hot Wok has set, and they set that standard high. Read more
