This is one of the best filipino restaurant in calgary. their food is freshly made and authentic. You will only have to manage... your expectations when you order using different kinds of delivery methods as they are always busy because of their authenticdishes. please note that the staffs of this restaurant is striving hard to deliver the best customer service that they caneveryday. however, sometimes unavoidable things might occasionally happen due the customers high demand in this restaurant. Ifyou have any concerns phone the restaurant or send them an email to address your issues properly. I saw some nasty, rude andunethical reviews to this restaurant which in general, will not help their business either. You are free to criticize but do itin a nice way as possible. I spent Canada ???????? day yesterday with my daughter Chelsea and grandson Ezekiel in their Macleod branch like we always... do.The restaurant was full unsurprisingly because its holiday. It was full-packed, busy but they managed it systematically andorganized. They have dine-in, pick-up and on going deliveries but I was just watching attentively and they did things smoothly.I would highly recommend their service ,their clean store and of course their yummy foods as well. Being in the food servicebefore for so many years I would say this restaurant could compete with known and bigger service industries in Calgary. It wasnice a very nice dining experience.???????? We went there today to pick up some food, the guy was a little rude, he's probably having a rough day. I was with my 1 yo and 9... yo kids so I had a stroller with me, and they're a little busy. It was very clear to me that we cant wait inside but he rudelyand arrogantly said that we can't wait inside. He also said 25 minutes to wait but it took an hour, so there's that. Don't getme wrong, they're food is delicious though a little pricey but I understand that, due to inflation. But the way he dealt with uswas not nice. Read more
Ordered their fresh lumpia. The lumpias were delicious and they are generous for the serving (3 lumpia for $12). Came during the... dinner time, and place was super busy. Definitely think they need more staff especially the waiter/server. My food took 45 minsto be done and another 45 mins to have my food packed and pay the bill. I had hoped my lumpia’s were a bit warmer than what Ihad received especially for waiting that long. I had no problem waiting and being patient, however felt terrible for the serverrunning everywhere. Lost a star due to the rude comments by the owner on these reviews. Learn how to take the criticism and howto reply professionally especially when working at the business industry that thrives on customer service. Read more
Visiting our friends from Edmonton and this was the closest Filipino resto to their place. We ordered an hour ahead and our food... was ready when I got there. For the amount of food we ordered, I would say the value was worth it. You get the Filipino foodstaples like lumpia, bistek, kawali, and sisig. The lechon kawali we noticed they probably used peanut oil to fry it as it gavea distinct nutty taste to the fried pork. The usual taste for the kawali is basically that bacon-esque salty taste. With thenutty after taste surely gave it an edge. I'm not sure if this was intentional but I liked it. For sure this caters to theFilipinos who grew up with the food and the flavours. Not so sure if a person outside that culture would want to try it but Idefinitely recommend this place. The only downside was the fresh lumpia. There are so many versions on how this fresh lumpia isdone and this was not the flavour we were looking for. Fresh lumpia is almost always difficult to catch that main taste. It iseven challenging for me to exactly explain the taste in writing. I would shy away from ordering that. I will have to update myreview as soon as we can have the chance to dine in. Read more
I have been craving for filipino food since we don’t have lots of filipino restaurants in Tampa. If there’s one it’s just... an “okay” taste nothing special and over priced. Today, I found the true taste from home. This restaurant was highlyrecommended by a close friend of mine who’s from here. So i ordered Crispy Pata and Sizzling Bulalo. It was way beyond myexpectation. Their crispy pata has the crispiest skin, soft and moist meat and the sizzling bulalo is superb. I wasn’t scaredto serve it to my mother in law (who’s canadian) and my husband who i rate is on the picky side. So yeah! Will definitely comeback and try different menu. To everyone who reads this review, please try their food. Not to mention their reasonable price.Very friendly people too. Love this place. Read more
I went here during covid and the place was fairly empty. That being said, our server was attentive and the service... quick. Their covid protocol was a bit questionable. Most of the cooking staff was not wearing mask and was talking to eachother as you would expect in a kitchen but all I could think about are the droplets of spit entering food as they prepared them. Our table was also wiped down with a cloth but I was unsure if the cloth had disinfectant nor did they sprayed disinfectingsolution on our table prior to wiping it down. The food was also just ok, nothing special. Nothing was bad, just ok.... Wehad sisig, lechon kawali and lumpiang sariwa during our visit. The lumpia came out of the kitchen already split which was a bitdisappointing cuz I haven’t had these in a while and I really wanted to take a good photo of it. Alas, there was a gaping holeon one of them... I was also disappointed with the lack of sawsawan. In a typical Filipino restaurant, you would usually getan assortment of sawsawan when you order something fatty like lechon kawali (ei something sour like vinegar based sauce orpickled papaya salad), we didn’t get that with our dish. I did asked for spicy vinegar but it wasn’t even spicy... Read more
Service is slow, prices are high, staff is rude and unwelcoming to people who are not Filipino speaking or look Filipino (I am... Filipino and Chinese Canadian). The restaurant replies to people's honest reviews on Google is extremely unprofessional and sayseverything you need to know about this place. They reply in all caps, clearly an older generation who is resistant to changingwith the times. For example, taking constructive criticism and using it to make their business better and instead takes it as apersonal attack. It's disappointing and embarrassing. Read more
