I haven?t been to Cattle Barron in years and went for my birthday tonight. I was incredibly impressed by the service given by... our server Daryl. There was seven of us and he was very attentive and went the extra mile to make sure everything was orderedcorrectly. We had two seniors with us and Daryl was excellent at giving extra attention so everyone enjoyed their evening. Ourfood was exceptional. I ordered a 6oz filet and I was expecting it to be overbooked because of its size, but it was perfectlymedium rare. Thank you CB for a great birthday dinner. We really enjoyed it. For Birthday celebrations we always come to Cattle Baron. Celebrated my sons Birthday here again. As expected, they didn?t... disappoint us- Food was really delicious. From appetizer, to main course to dessert. We had the Filet Mignon, Rib Eye Steak andBBQ Ribs. These were TOP NOTCH! Their Calamari is a must try as well as the mud pie for dessert. First off, Harry, ???? best service! He recommended the Three Finger Jack Cab Sav and it was great. The portions and price were... in line and the food was great. We walked over from our hotel without a reservation and after a short wait, the 3 of us were ushered to a nice table . Nice... being along a wall and not in the centre of the room. Our server attended almost immediately and after an explanation of some ofthe beverages and specials, took our drinks order. The drinks were served about 5 minutes later which gave us time to decide onour entrees. The meals were served after a reasonable wait, about 15 minutes and were piping hot. I had a very nice steakprepared exactly to my liking with mushrooms, and it was very good, not too much seasoning so the steak flavour came through. Idon't recall what the ladies ordered but there certainly weren't any complaints. I finished off with a lava cake which wasdelicious but I probably could have done without it, as I ended up stuffed once more! There is plenty of parking outside and theentrance and restaurant are accessible, as are the large clean washrooms. On a side note, I was impressed that a new staffmember was being trained and was being shadowed and advised by an experienced staff. My family absolutely loves Cattle Baron! We go fairly often and the food is always consistent and amazing. We've become regulars... because of the amazing staff. A few of the servers we've had in the past come over to greet us and make a point of saying hi. Werequest the larger booths and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Our usual server, Amanda, is fantastic and alwaysmakes sure we're looked after. We have two young kids so a family friendly atmosphere is very important to us. The staff arealways friendly and welcoming and they have great meal options for the kids at a very affordable price. The great atmosphere,amazing service, and terrific food makes us keep going back! We came here spare of the moment with a group of 20 hockey players and dads. They were very welcoming and accommodating. Super... friendly service. There was one waiter working. He was amazing. Very Professional. Took care of everything. No complaints fromanyone and all the food the group had was top notch. All facilities and the restaurant on the whole was clean. Well done CattleBaron! Very disappointing experience for our 10 year anniversary. I have to say that it's very nice in the restaurant and our server... was pleasant and knowledgeable. My wife and I both ordered the filet mignon, mine medium and hers medium-well (I know haha). Theproblems began when I ordered a beer, 20 minutes went by yet no beer. I politely let our server know that I was no longerinterested in it. Then upon cutting into my medium steak it was not even close to the proper cook. The server offered to cook itmore but we didn't want to wait any longer at this point. No table visit from a manager to speak with us to help at all. When wereceived the bill I noticed my wife's Caeser was discounted from the bill. To me that wasn't enough to warrant a no show for anitem I ordered 20 minutes earlier and a steak cooked at a steakhouse not right. Can't recommend, sorry! Read more
