We ordered the olives (so good, they had hot peppers and citrus juice with a small bowl of potato chips on the side) and garlic... nuts (fresh made bread) from happy hour menu. Also shared a Caesar salad and we each got a pasta; the fettuccini and the penneon rose sauce. The best part of our experience was the amazing service we got from Venize. We want to come back to try thepizza, which we hear was good. Read more

On a cool October Saturday my husband and I were running errands and thinking of a nearby place to have pizza. Very fortunately... for both of us Buffo Ristorante was not only open but also very quiet on this particular day! The service was prompt, friendlyand professional. If I ever choose to trade out my everyday china I will want to replicate what Buffo uses for their charmingand decorative dishes. The wine selection was perfect for our needs and when our "Napoletano-Styled" pizza arrived, completewith Italian pepperoni, Fior di Latte, our request for additional Prosciutto cotto and topped with arugula we were deeplyimpressed. As we ate, we both said, "This is better pizza than we have had in a number of pizzerias in Italy itself." Read more

Unfortunately that was one of the worst Italian restaurant I've been to. Chicken Parm was burnt to crisp - you can even see that... in the photo, pasta was too oily and salty. Giving two stars instead of one cuz waitress was friendly and drinks were good. Read more

Visited with my parents in April. Small portions, but excellent food. Was craving a pizza, but they don't have a pizza oven so... it didn't seem like a good idea. Pasta dishes are great, but again the portions are small. Very friendly and inviting staff. Read more

I hate having to leave a review that is negative for any business but unfortunately today I had to share my experience as I... really felt that we were entirely ignored and this ruined my aunt departing meal before she was to take off back to Toronto. Before I lay it out it is a shame as the place had a nice ambiance and the menu looked quite appealing. Where everything fellshort was my aunt was seated while I was parking my car. We were brought water when I joined the table and after we literallysat for 20 mins literally not even being offered any drink options. I would understand it if the place was busy but there wasliterally three tables and even when I made the effort to make eye contact " Like hello we would like to place an order "nothing clued in. Service 101 is to at least offer a drink other than water so 20 minutes does not feel like an eternity. Ihave been in the service industry for years and it seems simple to me you have less tables you can maximize the customer serviceexperience and build rapport which will in return increase the gratuity and make up for the short failing of the reducedcustomer base at that time. In conclusion after watching a table that literally came in after us get served and actual getservice and full orders I decided to up and leave as at this point I felt my dinner would not be much better than the underperforming table service. In conclusion, we walked over to the other side of the mall and got a table a Joey Chinook. We wereseated right away and literally had drinks served and orders taken within less than 5 minutes. They went above and beyond forus as I was still frustrated and was venting my frustrations with our new server at Joey. I still was disbelief of theexperience we had a Buffo and was trying to get beyond it. I am sure this is not the standard for the restaurant but maybe thisreview can aid in coaching for proper table service. The below picture was the meal at Joey. The server Amelia was exce Read more

Fantastic food, excellent service. I would definitely recommend the Buffo Bread, it's everything you could ever want if you... enjoy bread and oil. It's got a cheesey crispy outer crust with a incredibly airy soft inside that just soaks up the oil. Read more

10 out of 5 stars! The food is always on point. Absolutely zero issues. The bruschetta by far is the best I've ever had! (Many... of my friends and family also agree) I have been served by many servers and even assisted by management. They work as a welloiled machine. Thank you for a perfect experience every single time! *I beleive the most recent server we had was named Alyssa. She was fantastic, hilarious and witty! Read more

I think this reastraunt has one of the best Italian pasta in Calgary. Everything was authentic and fresh. We don’t need to... talk about the taste of food. Yes absolutely amazing. The vibe of the restaurant was amazing. On top of that, manager/owner wasexceptionally kind and nice. I know some of you guys complain about the size of food and the waitress and blah blah blah butthink about it. you are going to Italian restaurant not the American restaurant. the size of dishes should be less but theeffort and dedication to the dishes are remarkly more. Once you try the food you will feel it. Anyway we had absolutely pleasantexperience in this restaurant. We couldn’t ask for more. I believe that we will be regular to this restaurant. Read more
