Been meaning to check this place out for a while. Celebrated a birthday while we were here and the service was great considering... we were a larger noisy group of people. Thanks Brooke for the great service! Terry was super helpful with booking thereservation and making sure everything went smoothly. The donair was awesome! That's what we came for and it was delicious!Really enjoyed their brunch donair options. Read more

Every time I've been here my east coast partner has exclaimed "It's like being home!" She lived and grew up near miramichi and... can certify the food is as authentic as it gets. The servers are wonderful and attentive, the food is mind-blowing and theatmosphere is warm. This is my new local pub food spot! Read more

Went to this place when it opened to support local area businesses, drinks where good, the food was terrible to me. Tried the... nachos which and pizza that donair stuff is just not a good mix. I eat Donair pizza all the time from other places and loveit. May be I just don?t understand what Halifax food is, but this was not tasty food even when your buzzing good. Went asecond time to give them a chance and had same experience with the food. The staff is nice, the restaurant is nice and drinksare good, but the food just don?t work for me. Read more

I was really excited to go to Blowers and Grafton to try out the lobster rolls. My husband and I went on a weekday afternoon;... it was very busy, but we managed to get a table after about a five minute wait. The server was very attentive, and since we bothknew what we wanted (lobster rolls and seafood chowder) it did not take long to get our meal. The lobster rolls were about $21for market price at the time, and it was as an extra $4 to upgrade our side to the chowder, which seemed reasonable and on parwith other restaurants. When our food arrived, it was hot and fresh and looked absolutely delicious. After a few bites, however,we were quite disappointed. The lobster rolls did not have very much lobster at all - it was mostly shredded, and there were nobig chunks of meat. It definitely did not seem like a full lobster between the three mini rolls. We found the flavour to besomewhat bland as well. The rolls themselves were nice and buttery and toasted, but it was a bit too much bread after awhile andwe did not finish the rolls completely. We also found the flavour of the chowder to be lacking and it had somewhat of a thinconsistency. I did not want to write a review after just one disappointing experience of dining here, so I returned about amonth later with a friend. She convinced me to order a donair, and I'm so glad she did. It was the best east coast style donairI've ever had! There was so much flavour and it was bursting with meat. The sauce to filling ratio was perfect. It was alsoserved take-out style in a wrapper which I found quite quirky and unique. We ordered the small size, and at first when I sawthe donair in the wrapper I thought it wouldn't be enough food. It was decievingly small however, as it was so stuffed withfillings. My only critique is the cost and size of the sides. You have to pay to add on a side to the donair - it's $4 for atiny bowl of fries and $7 for an equally tiny salad. While delicious, the salad is certainly not wo Read more

A friend of mine recommended this place to me. He's from the east cost. I asked him where is the best fish and chips in town... is and he said Blowers & Grafton. I looked it up and they opened a new location in the NW. So we stopped in here for lunch. We got the fish and chips and the Donair Nachos. I was hopping to get COD but they only had haddock. The haddock was perfectlycooked. It was not greasy at all. The batter was light and crispy. The fish had perfect texture and bite and was so moist. The chips it came with was also no salty or oily. It added a nice crunch and complimented to the fish. One of the best fishand chips I've ever had. I would come back to this place just to have it! The Donair Nachos has the best sweet sauce. Thehome made chips were the same as what came with the fish and chips meal. Loaded with cheese, tomatoes and onions and donairmeat. I would get extra donair meat next time. I got the selfie size nachos but next time I'm ordering the full size. Justthe right amount of sweet sauce and didn't make it soggy. I was drinking soda pop with our meal. The second glass I got wascompletely flat. I asked for a new one but never got it. The restaurant was not overly busy at all. Unfortunately fell alittle short on the service. I live fairly close to this restaurant so I would come back again for the fish and chips. Thefood was delicious but again the service was ok. Read more

Having just returned from Halifax a week ago, we decided to try this restaurant a couple of times to compare. The first time we... tried the fish tacos and the spicy chicken sandwich (not traditional Haligonian but am always searching for a good one) with aside of chowder. The tacos were quite good and the tortillas were crisped which helped hold their shape. The sandwich wasaverage, a little over fried, and not spicy. The waiter brought a separate container of Dave's "suicide" hot sauce but reallywasn't much hotter than what came on the sandwich. Felt like maybe they mixed up the mild and the hot. The sauce had more of aspicy ketchup taste and less vinegar which was nice. The chowder was good but had less of a seafood flavour than it's Haligonianor even PEI counterparts. Service was good and the server friendly. The second time we went, we tried the fish and chips andthe mini lobster rolls. The fish and chips were battered in the Alberta way--light and golden--in comparison to the heavy, darkway at Shuck's in Halifax. The taste was very good here. We ordered a side of hot sauce to compare with the last time, and Ithought it was a little hotter but still quite mild. Ended up being charged $2 for it as well which seemed excessive for thesmall amount. Hard to compare the lobster rolls to something like those from Tom's at Peggy's Cove but they were decent.Interesting choice of toasted thick bread over a brioche bun but it wasn't bad just different. The homemade chips were nice, nottoo salty or oily. Current MP was $25 which seems about right for the amount of lobster and being in Alberta. Service this timewasn't great. Our server didn't come over until after we had been sitting for a while and a different server came over and askedif we'd been helped at all. We weren't offered water refills during our meal and wasn't offered ketchup for the chips. Overallthe restaurant is big and clean. The food is decent but the service is a little hit or miss.
