An unexpected gem! We were exhausted from our flight to Calgary and we didn't want to leave the Four Points hotel, so we thought... we'd give Avenue 16 a try. I had Nasi Goreng, an Indonesian fried rice dish. The serving was huge and the food was deliciousand satisfying. My hubby had the ribeye steak and really enjoyed it. I had a couple of bites and thought it was very tender andtasty. The restaurant itself is relaxed and casual, perfect for kicking back and enjoying a meal. Would definitely recommendand visit again! We had never been here before and stopped in as a result of its close proximity to where we were and decided to give it a try.... At first glance we weren't sure what to think, the environment was clean and nicely decorated and inviting. I ordered thefettuccine Alfredo and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best I've ever had. The service was incredible and portionsizes were absolutely perfect. Food was good. Staff were friendly. Not sure if they are used to big groups. There were 20 people in our party which led to... food delays and missed items on our food orders and had to keep reminding them. A little over priced from a $$ for valueperspective. Read more

My friends and I are going to now make this a tradition everytime we come to Calgary! I wanted to get my friends a fancy meal... for our trip to Calgary, unfortunately I choose a different restaurant and it was disappointing. However, Avenue 16 saved theday! As we rembered the exptional service from the previous night when the bar we had in mind was closed and decided to try afull dinner. The portions and delectable meals are very worth the price point. The drinks are well made and average priced andwhen my friend didn't enjoy a drink they where quick to make a new one. The Atlantic salmon I'm particular has to be hands downthe best salmon I have ever had. The dry pork rib aparizers where delectable. The butter chicken was "the best I've ever had"acourding to my friend. The server we had was exceptional they had a kind and fun personality, was extremely professional, knewthe right amount of times to check on our table we never felt hovered over or forgotten.
