We had mixed thoughts. The two of us who ordered the T-Rex pizza didn?t enjoy it at all. Had no flavour, dry, and was salty.... Could have used more tomato sauce. The two that ordered the taco fiesta really enjoyed it. They said it was flavourful and had agood amount of spice, and a good crust. Price is fairly high comparing to other places that offer gluten free pizzas. The pizzashop we normally go to offers two 10in gluten free for ~$30 (Foothills Pizza). Read more
Update: The GM called me to discuss this issue. He left a really great message and took accountability for his employee's... mistake. He said he went over safety protocol with him and stressed the importance of using different cutters. I appreciate thathe took this issue seriously, and therefore I have adjusted my rating accordingly. My star rating is based on how thisrestaurant is not careful with cross contamination. I ordered 2 half vegetarian pizzas and one full pizza with meat. When I gothome, I saw my vegetarian pizza had a couple pieces of pepperoni on mine. I called the restaurant and he denied that ithappened. It clearly looked accidental but now I can't eat that pizza since I am vegetarian. I offered to send in pics but theperson there became defensive and didn't want to listen to me. He did agree to refund the amount on the half pizza that had meatbut his attitude toward me was unacceptable. My husband said it looked like he cut the meat pizza first and then used the samecutter on mine. This is worrisome for any person that is vegetarian or has a nut allergy. BE CAREFUL. This was an epic find while passing through Calgary! Very tasty vegan and meat options, on-time delivery, and food was hot on... arrival. We ordered gluten-free pizza with vegan cheese - the best we?ve had! - and some ribs and turkey. Website order wasquick and easy. Read more
Gluten Free Pizza!!! Plus vegan options makes me so happy!!! I am now a regular here and gave up my other pizza places. It's... that good! I love pizza and finding a crust that tastes and bites like regular dough is unfounded in Calgary but Avatara made ithappen and it doesn't get tough and chewy as it cools down or after reheating which says a lot! Quite literally some of the best gluten free pizza I?ve ever had, let alone best in the city. The crust is crunchy and doesn?t... have the obnoxiously chewy texture of a lot of gluten free crusts, and the flavour combinations they make are incredible. Thebest part, though, is that you?re getting an actual whole gluten free pizza (at LEAST 12?, not some lame 8? sadness), often with7+ delicious toppings, for the same price as you?d pay for a full-gluten pizza elsewhere. The MOST amazing pizza and desserts I?ve ever had. The chef was amazing (thanks Shawn, TX loves Avatara) Brilliant!!! So happy... there is a GF Celiac restaurant where absolutely everything tastes incredible. We?ll be back? again and again. If you live inCalgary you need to try this place. Read more
Hands down best gluten free pizza I?ve had. And it?s fire roasted? ???? got a half pizza, but wishing I got a whole one! also... got the tiramisu. Shed a happy tear. 10/10 will be back to try the other pizzas! Read more
Pizza was delicious! Did not taste like a gluten-free crust - it was light and crispy. House-made pizza sauce was great! Service... was prompt, attentive, and friendly- but not too friendly, ya know? Minus one star for very limited choice of wines by the glass- one white, one red. Read more
