We have eaten here several times since it opened. It seems to be consistently inconsistent. Service is always fine, but the... food has highs and lows. Tonight?s pizza was horrible. The dough was undercooked, the cheese was very different than what hasbeen served on the pizza before, and the whole thing tasted ?off.? The rest of our meal (chicken wings and a brisket dinner)were just okay. Mac and cheese is bland, brisket was on the tough side, and medium chicken wing sauce tasted veryketchup-heavy. Breakfast has always been consistently good, but based on tonight?s experience, we won?t be back for lunch orsupper. Read more

Tried the "22hr smoked, melt in your mouth brisket." Very dry and tough. No smoke ring found. Brisket was not trimmed; leaving... lots of inedible fat. Must add staff members was kind enough to exchange the brisket. New brisket was closer to a well doneroast beef than a brisket. Still untrimmed. Unsure if either pieces of brisket have been smoked at all. Do not recommend thebrisket. Nice dine in setting and good customer service. Read more

The service was good except our waitress kept messing up the orders. Our toast didn't come until we were almost done our... breakfast. She was very nice and came to our table often. The food was good, especially the bacon. Read more

I have not eaten here in person but recently attended a party that was catered by Hammer Hogs. It was DELICIOUS!! We had... brisket, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, mashed potato, and corn bread. Each food I mentioned was the best I had ever had (I atethe leftovers for dinner and breakfast the next day) and it was amazing. The only thing I feel missed the mark was the pulledpork. I personally found the sauce way too sweet even thought the meat was super tender. Definitely a must try!! Read more

First time visiting Hammer Hogs and it did not disappoint. The quality of the food was very good. Everything was very fresh and... did not have that chain reasturant vibe or flavor. I would recommend this to any one that loves good barbecue. Read more

Ordered takeout, food was cold and order was all wrong. Had to wait 30 minutes to pick up the food, quality of the ribs were... terrible, rubbery, bbq sauce was burnt on. Threw out more than half the food and wasted $150. Read more

Newly opened location at 43 Argyle St N, Caledonia. We went there last night to check out the newly opened restaurant and we?re... not disappointed! The overall feel of this place is great and the food is the icing on the cake. A real winner in the BBQ world! Here?s my review: MENU: This menu was very diverse and has something for everyone! From burnt ends, wings, nachos, chicken, steak, tacos, burgers and more, to pizza. Not just one pizza, but a huge selection of delicious pizza pies. There are manyunique menu items that you likely won?t find anywhere. The bar has some great options and unique drinks and craftbeers. ATMOSPHERE: The dining area feels like a southern state resto-bar, with incredibly painted walls with various charactersand quotes. You could pass time just reading the walls. The ambiance is nice, not too dark or too bright, and the seating isgreat. There was a live band playing which was great. We brought our 4 kids, so it was very family friendly. There is a wellstocked bar in the middle, and plenty of room inside. SERVICE: The service was great, especially considering that they had justopened. The owner and main chef, Stacey came out to greet us at our table and check in the quality of the food. It is obviousthese guys care about their customers and food quality. WASHROOMS: The washrooms were very clean and well stocked, despite thebusyness of the restaurant. PRICE: The price point of the menu and drinks was very reasonable. Average of about $15 for burgerswith fries, ranging to about $26 for steak and frites. Very reasonable and definitely on point for the quality. Overall, Ihighly recommend that you check this place out! Very impressed! Read more
