Rather disappointing. Food not restaurant quality. Served carrots as a side and were out of a bag, not sliced, not seasoned or... steamed enough. Hard as a rock-may as well have brought me a dip I could dip them into. 1 waitress-have seen other staff sittingwith friends and going behind bar to get bottles of beer. Unprofessional looking. We loved the interior and exterior of this place, especially being in an old post office on the square. The menu was maybe too... efficient, not much to choose, even their wine menu had more options. The person who served our table was silent, and a bitpreoccupied with the people at the bar area which I guess were friendsof hers; also, it took more than 40 minutes for food thatwas subpar, for example the club sandwich said on the menu it has Texas toast, but instead it was Mrs Bairds thin slice bread.The Queso was terrible, with the chips heavily salted. The burger was okay but again too heavy on the salt for the frys. Thisreally could be an awesome place, but it needs an inviting entrance to really illustrate that it's a restaurant and maybe changeup the menu ???? There was no one else in the building and it took 45 minutes for five meals. All of them except one was cold. Very cold. The... Club sandwich was cheap lunch meat and toasted bread for $10. This place should just go out of business it would be best foreveryone. Read more
Cool atmosphere but we didn't have good experience. There were 1 wait staff and 1 cook when we came (2 tables before us, us,... then another 2 tables); so it's quite a wait. We're ready to order but the wait staff took order from the table came after usfirst. She also brought me chips, after asking me if I wanted chips or fries and I said fries. Lastly, when we're ready to pay,she was busy chatting with one of the table. I had the chicken sandwich and the portion was small in my opinion. My husband gotthe club sandwich and it's good. Wonderful place for celebratory venues. Very quaint and classy with old time charm.
This is the most laid back bar in Caldwell staff is always excellent. I always eat the bulk mail burger with the queso but today... i ate the diamond A beef ny strip that is awesome it come with mashed potatoes and vegetables best lunch or dinner in town handsdown my go to spot if your driving through or local dont let this diamond in downtown caldwell slip away.ps dessert waffles areawesome. What a great venue inside an old post office, hence the name. Table and bar seating inside. I had the Broushetta Nachos. So... good! They also have seating outside and have live music on certain days. Read more
