Reviews for The Garden Spot Cafe in Caldwell, TX
What's not to like about a great diner/cafe in Caldwell along ST-21? We couldnt find anything we didnt like...it a small local... place, run well and serving up high quality meals. We stopped on Saturday for a late lunch....we were seated right away, asthey were not at all busy. Samantha took care of us properly. I ordered the Chopped Steak Dinner, wife and daughter eachordered the Grilled Chicken and Strawberry Salad. I want my chopped steaks just singed 2 seconds on each side. Samantha saidyes...and that is exactly how I got it. Perfect ! I had the roasted corn and mashed potatoes. Even if you dont like corn, trytheir roasted version. Wife and daughter both loved the Chicken n Stawberry Salads. Wife couldnt eat the whole thing, so shetook it home. Food and Service are top notch and the prices wont empty your wallet and you cant possibly go home with an emptybelly given the quantity. Very good price to value in small town Caldwell, Texas. I have been eating at The Garden Spot for nearly 4 years now and cannot believe I am just writing a review. Sorry, Michelle, I... suck. This place is phenomenal. The owner, Michelle, takes great pride in her cooking, in the quality of the ingredients, andloves interacting with her customers. She loves this place, is passionate about her business, and loves her people. You MUSTHAVE her French toast at least once.... and her smothered grilled pork chops are to die for. Absolutely delicious. Her dessertschange around, but I haven't found one that I don't like yet. Read more

Stopped in because the other place I go to in town was not open. Not disappointed. Great sausage and bacon biscuits. Coffee... was good. Decent pricing. It is normally a fairly busy restaurant, and I know they have a following. Spacious dining, andgreat service and really good food. Read more
