We have been going to Lydia?s for over 50 years and have been getting the same quality food and service as the first time we... went. Last night was no exception, the steaks were prepared to perfection and the side dishes were mmm mmmm good! It?sdefinitely worth the drive to Butte. Read more

It was an awesome experience. Salad is waiting for you at the table. The servers were very helpful and attentive. The food was... amazing. Steak was cooked to perfection. You also get a plate of spaghetti, fries and some ravioli with your meal. Then a smallbowl of ice cream at the end. Very retro feel with an awesome atmosphere and vibe. Definitely would recommend this restaurantif you're in the area. Read more

Went in on a Thursday night, expecting a clown show based on some of the reviews others have posted. This place did not... disappoint. Maybe I have been working in Montana too long, but I am from a food town, big city. I am well-traveled and familiarwith the foodservice industry. I am a demanding and highly critical patron who often laughs at what qualifies as a decentrestaurant in rural areas. Regardless, I found nothing wrong with this establishment. It was clean, well-decorated, and classy. The music selection was superb. Steaks and seafood well-prepared, to the liking of my Montana-bred counterparts. Limited menu? Iwould agree it could benefit from less of fries and more baked potatoes, as others have mentioned. More bread and fewercrackers, yes. But I didn?t miss that one bit? this spot feels great because it is unique, quirky, and properly managed from myviewpoint. Zero issues with the cheery and intelligent server staff, who all coordinated their efforts to ensure we wereattended to throughout the meal. The menu was slightly confusing with the ?accompaniments,? but there wasn?t a moment when weweren?t shoving something hot and tasty into our food holes. The dining room was pleasant and quiet, allowing table conversationwhich the waiter skillfully avoided interrupting. Relaxing and satisfying after a long, stressful day. Sure, the restroom trashwas hard to reach with your used paper towel, but I am really digging deep here. An enjoyable experience, and at a good value, too, even in the current economy. There is a reason the lot is full every night, and I would consider Lydia?s a top destinationin Butte for any number of special occasions. Read more

A classic supper club experience that my family has been going to for years. Dinners come with salad (the Bleu cheese dressing... is my favorite of all time), salami, cheese, sweet potato salad, some veggies, anchovies (upon request), fries, spaghetti andraviolis, your entree, and ice cream for dessert. Classic dinner steak is tender and is crusted in a seasoning I can onlydescribe as Lydia's. Very tasty in my opinion, and unfortunately for the dog, I never take home a doggy bag. Add some shrimp forthe surf and turf experience, or, honestly the fried chicken is pretty good. Not sure if they still do it like this, but wayback in the day, we used to get the fried chicken dinner to go, bring your own bowl for the spaghetti and ravs, and you'd pickit up at the back door. When us kids would go, they'd give us little sugar wafer cookies while we waited. Waaaaay better thanSafeway chicken too. Read more

For those that aren't familiar with old school supper clubs, this is something to experience. First time in my life where... spaghetti and ravioli was an automatic side - served family style. There gets to be so much food! The decor is wood panelingwith a lot of stained glass hangings, an over all dark feel... very supper club-ey. It's not the everyday restaurant experience, so if you want to try something a little different, this might be it. Food was pretty good. Not a great place to choose forthose that don't eat meat. Staff was nice, and they like reservations. Read more
