One of my go to Viet places in Burnaby. Their lemongrass chicken and bahn mi are my favourites. Been going here for more than 5... years and they've kept up their quality and standard of service. Now they've just moved from the Willingdon plaza location to afew minutes away on Kingsway. The decor and atmosphere is nicer and I feel like the portions have gone up! Of course prices havemoved with inflation too but it is what it is! Read more
Just a preface, I've never been to Ha Cafe when they were at their old location at Old Orchard, so I don't have a biased review... through nostalgia. So far, i've only dropped by once, and hopefully continuing to do so in the future, but it's nice to finallyhave a good Pho/Vietnamese place around walking distance in the Metrotown area. The mixed vermicelli with grilled lemongrasschicken and spring rolls were great, chicken is flavorful, skin is crispy, and has a very nice char, along with a very generousheap of matchstick cut carrots and cucumber, on top of a bed of lettuce and vermicelli. ( be warned, peanut dust from thecrushed peanut topping is a choking hazard, so watch out and don't eat too fast lol) Read more
Good authentic Vietnamese food. The bbq dishes came with generous vegetables portions. Spice beef noodle is lemongrass... predominant and slightly on the sweet side. There was sate chili sauce to go with the noodle, which is a plus. My family allenjoyed the food! Read more
My husband likes it because it?s very tender. Not salty but tasty. Wonton wasn?t the best but I would like to try different... dishes some other times. Store is very clean and organized. Read more
NOT IN OLD ORCHARD MALL, moved across of Metrotown. me and my husband wanted to check out this place since it has a vietnamese... restaurant with a high rating score. we ordered vegetarian tofu soup (A2) and chicken + spring roll with rice (17). my husbandsaid that they used the pineapple to make the soup is a very good idea. although my husband is really ok with spicy (evenindian) he stated that the soup is very spicy and hot. they also included either rice or vermicelli which is very confusing fora soup but other people might like rice i guess. my meal in terms of the chicken is a bit better than the vietnamese restaurantin metrorown. BUT the spring roll in food court metrotown is better..weirdly enough! so over all the chicken was grilled asstated in the menu and is better than other places. they have a good ambiance and they have tv and did the canucks. the placeis actually silent so people can mostly hear each other's conversations but most of the time you can hear the commentators inthe tv and you can still have a conversation at your table. staff is very very very good and attentive even if they gave thewrong order to our table. the guy looks very friendly and knows his regulars even after they moved. so this means that customersfollow them cz they are good. im willing to bring other people here to try it too. a bit of a small place but a good solid tohold 4 people in 1 table or put some together. lots of people do take out. -2 stars bec the place had a fruit fly. SO...i willchange my rating IF i go back to try another round of dine in and if there is no more fly. see pic. Read more
