This restaurant has become the new family dim sum and dinner spot because my niece is in love with their cat robot ?? the... service has also been amazing and they?re super sweet. Even when they don?t need to use the cat robot they would bc they know myniece loves seeing it move around. The food is also pretty good too. I find their braised duck with taro hot pot to be amazing.Super flavour and left overs reheat so we?ll. First time I?ve enjoyed a braised meat dish this much. They have some set dinnerspecials which are great value too with Peking duck or lobster. We usually pick one of the set menus and add one or two moredishes and there?s plenty of left overs us. Have to wait if no reservation on Sat. The dim sum and service was pretty good. The deco was nice and the seating was... comfortable. Unfortunately the washroom was very unappealing, floor was sticky, broom and cleaning products were everywhere. This time came here for mother's day lunch. Lobster with noodle was not bad. The BBQ duck was quite tasty andmeaty. Except the fish rice roll was cold, and the deep fried squid was not crispy. The black sesame ball dessert was prettygood. Washroom is still u appealing. First time trying dimsum here and I wasn?t disappointed. There was plenty of parking and the restaurant was clean and... spacious. The food was actually really good without being too salty. The Chinese donut rice roll was missing the pork fluff ontop but it was still crispy inside. The siu mai and shrimp dumplings is typical and my favourite is the spareribs with blackbeans. The squid came out cold but it was seasoned well and crispy. The steamed buns with salted egg yolks is a must try too.It?s so good with the yolk running out when you bite into it. Read more

Been quite a few years since we've last been to Grand Dynasty. Most dishes turned out pretty good. The deep fried taro... dumplings were cute the way they made them look like swans (seen many restaurants do this). The filling was ok (not as generousas some other restaurants but good). Liked that we were able to order deep fried crab claws at dim sum. A bit cheaper than theones you get at Sun Sui Wah but also a bit smaller. We were surprised to find pieces of shrimp inside the Chinese donut ricerolls. The steamed chicken feet were really tender but they forgot our order and we had to ask them for it when we realized itwasn't coming out. Overall, pretty good food for the area. Read more

Grand Dynasty is a great dim sum spot that offers excellent food for a fair price. The place was packed on a non-holiday... Wednesday morning. Each of the dishes we had tasted great. The fried eggplant was particularly memorable with its slightly spicytaste and unique texture with borderline crunchy exterior and soft interior. Even though the place was packed, the service wasattentive and friendly. From the restaurant, you can walk directly to the casino beside it, making this place a great choice forlunch or dinner if you plan on visiting the casino in Burnaby. The interior looks great and there?s lots of seats if you arrive early. It gets a little busy after 10:30am in the weekend. Some... of the dishes would only be available to order after 10:30am. Dim sums taste good and they have some variety than otherrestaurants in Burnaby area. I would recommend having dim sum in this place if you live nearby. Read more
