New ambience and friendly staff. The ribeye was very juicy and tender. I loved the spaghetti carbonara and the pappardelle manzo... brasato. Everything was very flavourful except the drinks. We got a round of mock tails and it was so watered down all I wastasting was slight flavoured ice water. Desserts were delicious, we got the classic panna cotta and tiramisu. Read more

What a wonderful experience at Claudio's! Let's start with the service. Saije was absolutely incredible. Her knowledge of the... menu, her recommendations based on our tastes and overall demeanor elevated our experience. The food was fantastic. Theatmosphere felt warm and welcoming and the entire staff makes you feel at home. Highly recommend eating at Claudio's. Read more

Beautiful new Italian restaurant! Small and cutely decorated. The food is a good helping and very delicious as well. The staff... are friendly and did great! I was just a little surprised at my dish having ALOT of cheese over top (here’s a picture) whichfelt overwhelming and a bit much before I could even eat the dish (I know some people might not see this as a concern… just mythought); but overall, the dish tasted really great. This is definitely place I’d be back to eat at and one I wouldrecommend. It’s also at a great location as well. Read more

While the decor and service is great, the food and pricing was just no bueno. The sauce for the pappardelle manzo brasato had... zero flavour - and I hadn’t met a pasta I didn’t like until now. The sauce may as well been buttered noodles. The otherdishes ordered at the table were the Arancini (excellent), the carbonara (an original recipe from pasta amore, also excellent),and the boscaiola bucantini (not great). Lesson learned: the original recipes of pasta amore were fantastic, the new dishes fellflat. The prices are those of an upscale Italian restaurant downtown but the quality of the pasta recipes can’t compete withany other Italian restaurant I’ve tried. In future, would stick with pizza. Hoping they bring back the flavour of the previousmenu, it was 10000x better. Read more

The special arancini was squid ink. As you can see in the pictures, there was nothing in the centre and barely any sauce…... extremely blend. Literally just a fried ball of rice. I had to ask for a side of marinara sauce but it was stilltasteless. Pasta was also blend. Good that I had some marinara saved to put into the pasta. Pizza was the best and would orderagain. The patio seating is extremely uncomfortable. The chair seats are fine but the cushioned benches are built so high thatyou have to hunch to eat. A glass of pop comes in a skinny glass filled with ice mostly for $3. Refill is $1.50 with is mostlyice also so ask for no ice. Servers were not trained well and some that bring the food were rude. Would not recommend unlessyou’re going there just to post on social media. Read more

My friends and I tried Claudio's for the first time. We ordered the focaccia, the server recommended the flat version instead of... traditional focaccia. It was different but a bit disappointing because it was basically a flat pizza without the toppings. Theyalso brought over the balsamic olive oil when we were halfway done.. Enjoyed the carbonara and lamb shank entree. PappardelleManzo brasato was good and cooked to al dente. The 20oz bone-in rib eye was cooked to perfection medium rare but it was way toosalty for our liking. The carpaccio was also on the saltier side. I ordered the blueberry smash drink. It was really sweet.Good for those who enjoy full sweetness and don't go for half sweet drinks. Overall, the servers were friendly. Nice ambiancewith modern decor. Nice food presentation. Great place to socialize over drinks. Read more

Was so sad when I saw Pasta Amore shut down at Willingdon and Dawson then I heard from my kinesiologist that they moved to Solo... District under a new name and concept. Happy to hear it’s still run by the family and the name, Claudio is paying homage tothe father, owner of the 20+ year old Pasta Amore. Went for my fiancé’s birthday and everyone including myself enjoyed thefood and drinks. The service was great and the food was sooo delicious! Love that there’s a nice place for cocktails andItalian food walking distance from home. A nice change from all the big chains like Cactus, Earls, Browns, etc. Still thinkingabout the Agnello (braised lamb dish with polenta) and the seafood tagliatelle with lemon butter. Will definitely be back to trythe pizzas and pastas! Read more

Friendly, accommodating, and attentive staff. Modern décor and ambiance. Started with the recommended beet arancini. I was... hesitant at first since I’m not a fan of beets, but this was surprisingly good. Followed up with carpaccio, it was nice andfresh, especially after having something deep fried like the arancini. The tagliatelle al nero (clams, crabmeat, and shrimp withsquid ink pasta) was delicious. For dessert, the featured calamansi gelato. The flavour is a combo of lime, lemon, and orangealong with the intense tartness that will appeal to citrus lovers. Read more
