So I am not a fan of beer at all but I really enjoyed this place. Wonderful atmosphere, live music, a bunch of games to play,... and best of all a very sweet dog who greets you when you walk in! I wanted to like this place and maybe we were there at a bad time. The live music was particularly painful and the beer was... worse. For some reason they had a smoked beer takeover, no regular beers, and they were so bad that we couldn't finish them.Rarely do I leave a place with an unfinished beer, but I just couldn't get this one down. Great spot to hang out, drink diff beer styles you won't get elsewhere and taste all diff types of stuff. Beertenders are super... chill, friendly and knowledgeable, and really enjoyed hanging out there. The smoked beers have a BBQ-type nose, and that's supercrazy/mind blowing/so true to the style. Whenever we visit Burlington and we visit Oakledge park, we always drive past switchback brewing. Finally decided to give it a... try and it was nice. They have great outdoor seating, dog friendly, and pretty good beer. Their location is also next to theworlds largest filing cabinet which is funny! Read more
Came here after visiting the beautiful work of art that is the words tallest filing cabinet. This was our first stop of the many... the breweries in the surrounding area. Only got one beer here because we were quickly on to the next, but on that short amountof time the staff was super friendly and helpful and the whole place has great vibes. We sat outside on some stools while a bandplayed and it felt more like a little get-together of people outside rather than a pub/brewery, which I enjoyed. All in all10/10 immaculate vibes, would drive 3 hours again just to go back. Read more
