Reviews for Pizza 44 in Burlington, VT
This place is a hot dumpster fire. An expensive one at that. $50 for two small pizzas and an app. You know Vermont pizza is bad... when dominos is your best option. Here?s a picture of the prosciutto with ?arugula? ???? Read more
Don?t do takeout. Was told over the phone 15-20 mins, we have been waiting over an hour and still no lead time on when our order... will be ready (we are sitting at Queen City brewery waiting) Employee was kind of rude about it. Finishing our beers andleaving. Edit: did end up getting the pizza after canceling my order and speaking to possibly the manager. They had my name andmust have been my phon number wrong. Pizza was cold, and burned, and just not great in general. We won?t be returning. Read more
The service was good. They were patient as I asked a couple of questions and the food came out quickly. One thing I noticed... right away was an odd smell that was slightly off-putting, but I was hungry and maybe it was something I just couldn'tplace. The crust is thin and in a couple of places black from the fire, but not nearly as bland as a lot of the flatbreadplaces, and it had a fine texture. They put a good amount of pepperoni and cheese on it, which not every place does. The cheeseitself wasn't the best mozzarella, but it's a step up from big chain cheese (is Big Chain Cheese the name of my next band?Maybe.). The broccoli was not good. It was discolored and tasted strange, and I love broccoli. The red sauce wasn't anythingspecial, but neither was it of poor quality. The pizza was a tad smaller than some of the others around town, and a bit moreexpensive, but the tastes were solid if not exceptional. I'd give it a 3.5 overall, though some people seem to think anythingbelow a 5 is a failing grade. This is a 7 out of ten, not quite an 8. Read more
I had wings and pizza, and they were both good and bad: -The wings were big, covered with a tasty sauce. But the sauce was... watery, and the wings appeared to be cooked only on one side and very uncooked looking on the other. The one semi-browned sidewas wrecked by the rather rubbery other side. -The pizza was tasty, but a large margarita should have more than one or twoshredded basil leaves on it. I think if the wings were cooked all the way, and the pizza had more basil on it I'd try it again. As it stands, it's tough to return for more. Read more
Didn't go in here, but got a pizza to go and went next door to the brewery. This is some real bomb pizza and I strongly... recommend it. We got the pepperoni and it was socked full of pepperoni's! Crust was good, flavor was on point - overall a reallygood pizza. One of the best pizzas I've had in a while. Read more
Absolutely fantastic! We went for beers at Zerp Gravity and Queen City. Then as a bonus ended up with amazing pizza to go along... with the great beers! Maple pizza is out of this world..not too sweet, right amount of bacon and the apple slice topped eachslice off wonderfully. Read more
Great pizza joint right next to Queen City Brewery. Parking is challenging, but trick is to park in Burlington Coat Factory... parking lot right next door if go after 6pm. Pizza was great. Tried Margarita, Mickster, Hawaiian and Spicy Broccoli. Thecrushed tomatoe sauce was very very good, which is a good because the Margarita didn't have much fresh mozzarella and verylittle fresh basil.... But despite was very great slice. Read more
Really enjoyed this place and will be coming back. Standard pizza was excellent and their gluten free crust was really enjoyable... as well. Relaxed vibe which was what we were hoping for and brewery next door was having a private event but looked like areally cool space. Read more
