Made a reservation for inside. Was put at a tiny table in the back area which looked like a party room. There was a heater... that was very loud. There were bugs everywhere. They were on the walls and crawling on us and on the table in food and thedrinks. Terrible experience. Waiting so long just for a waiter to come to the table. Food was good but not with the threat ofall the bugs. Read more

I had a team of 30 people in town and we needed to find a space to have dinner. I reached out to Jason at Halvorson's and he... helped coordinate a private space that was perfect for our group. We had a reception area with a private bar, and then a seateddinner in another private room. We had plenty of space even without the outdoor patio due to rain. The food was great, the staffwas phenomenal, and the night went off without a hitch. I would absolutely recommend for any large group events. Read more

Love this place on upper Church Street! I have been coming for a long time and it never gets old. Check out the patio/courtyard,... which is a little gem that they have for music. The woodwork is great and has that early 1900s feel to it. Outdoor seating aswell during the nice months and I have barely waited for a table over the years. Try to get the tables by the windows for two ifyou can! Read more

Pretty disappointing overall. Waited around 45 minutes for food to arrive. After asking a couple of times when to expect the... food, the waitress (who was doing the best she could) eventually said the delay was because the kitchen was too busy. Taking onmore covers you can handle is a really poor experience for customers. The food itself was pretty good but adults meals came outbefore the kids food (every parents? restaurant nightmare), kids chicken burger was rubbery and fries way too salty forchildren. Wouldn?t recommend unless you?ve got a lot of time on your hands and don?t have hungry kids to feed. Read more

My class had a reunion event in the back of the restaurant. It was a very nice place to be together in. Although the AC may need... to be larger for the space. The appetizers were delicious and the drinks reasonably priced. The staff was very welcoming andaccommodating as well. Read more

Enjoyed a very nice brunch with delicious eggs benedict and drinks. Thought we should come back and try dinner, that was a... mistake. Our party had two orders of poutine for an appetizer and it was ridiculously salty. You don't need to salt the frieswhen you're adding gravy and cheese curds. Short rib "mac and cheese" had about a tablespoons worth of meat and had no flavor. "Cheese" sauce was unbelievably thin and more like milk. The other pasta dish was simultaneously dry and completely drenched inoil. That being said service was good both times. Enjoyable brunch but skip lunch/dinner. Read more

Great restaurant. Great food. Great service. Great prices. Great location. They welcomed us in and served us even as they were... closing. Also, a pro American restaurant, with a grand American flag on the wall. When all the other restaurants out here areenforcing draconian vaccine passport screening policies, Halverson's stands for the America of yesteryear, of strong valuesrooted in service, freedom and respect. This is the restaurant for true Americans and liberty lovers everywhere. Read more

We popped in for a night of live music. We did not know that the band was raising money for an 11 year old cancer patient. It... was also the 1963 class reunion taking place. We had a fun night and enjoyed the obviously close knit community. The brusselsprouts were phenomenal (maple glazed), but the corn flat bread was not cooked well. Drinks were good. Would recommend if youwant to feel like you're not on vacation and grab a sense of real vibe. Read more
