Craving the Swiss, I ordered 3 meals and 2 large chicken noodle soups , drive through! Upon getting my order and heading home... with the soup on my lap as my boyfriend was driving I started to feel my pants were getting wet and the soup running down my legand all over my feet and the front seat , we returned and the Manager Was more than accommodating and went well beyond what Iexpected to make up for this incident! I have to admit I was a little aggressive when I returned because I was pretty upset butwith a smile on her face and anything she could do to keep me happy she did! We had a table of 14 so big group. Our server debbie was great. Got all the order right and did it all with a smile. Manger sent... over free apps when we arrived which was nice surprise and treat. Food was brought out in timely manner ( for such a largegroup) and we had some allergies so it was great that the restaurant was able to make accommodations. Read more
The biggest challenge for franchise operations is consistency across all the outlets. I have found this to be true with Swiss... Chalet which I have tried in many locations. I went to this particular outlet, with friends for a late lunch (1:30 pm) on aMonday and noticed that there was only one person serving the entire restaurant. Understandable from a business point, but ifthere were any more than 3-4 tables on the go the delay would have been worse. As it is we were in no rush, and themanager/server was pleasant so we stayed. Swiss Chalet is "re-introducing" there beef selections (who knew?), so having doubtedthe ribs at one time, I thought I would give the beef sandwich a shot with a rice side. My companions both had their standardquarter-chicken dinners, so they were settled. I, on the other hand, was not impressed, The shredded beef was slightly burnt,had a couple pieces of chewy gristle, mixed with some kind of beef sauce and served with a hot horseradish that was not evenlyspread on the bun. Very poor presentation to say the least, The server assured me that her previous experience was much better. Like I say....consistency. We finished off with a known entity...coconut cream pie. That saved the meal, but disappointedwith this "re-introduced" beef menu. I don't think I will try that again. Stick with the proven goods. Read more
Had dinner at the Appleby/Upper Middle Swiss Chalet on the weekend. First time dining in at the restaurant in a very long time.... Awesome experience! Our food came out quickly, and it was hot and delicious! The staff at this location are so friendly andhelpful, and we even had a manager stop by the table to ensure everything was right with our meals. Terrific service and greatfood! We?ll be back! My chicken dinner was delivered with little rice and the dip was thrown in the box and rice was crushed. I ordered coconut pie... and it was delivered upside and crushed. This is disgusting, no one would answer the phone to speak with a manager after twocalls thru customer service and connected to the store no one answered the phone. Take my advice it?s a waste of money, therestaurant does not care. Swiss chalet you should be ashamed of this service. Don?t waste your money. Read more
We ordered "Half a rack BBQ back rib with oven baked potato" and "double leg dinner with fries" for a late lunch delivery. The... food was delivered warm, so we had to warm it up a bit. They were both cooked properly, but I was more happy with the ribs thanthe rotisserie chicken. Chicken legs were pretty small and I believe it wasn't enough for one person. Read more
The portion of chicken in the festive rib+chicken combo was substantial. The ribs were too chewy and there wasn?t enough... sauce..... but the coleslaw redeemed it. Also, my niece got the macaroni cheese balls and they are unreal good!!!! I was toldthat if I write a google review, I would get a free slice of pie. I don?t write reviews that people don?t earn, regardless offree pie lol, but it honestly was a full meal and earned my 5 stars. For the record, the coconut pie is super good. The waiterwas the type that won?t let his problems follow him to work. That is a rare talent these days and I commend him for it. Godbless him :) Read more
