Honestly our experience was 11/10. I brought my family of 2 young children and they were absolutely amazing. Our server Emily... was the sweetest and was the most thoughtful server we have had in a long time. The food was absolutely delicious. Everythingwas fresh and hot when it got to our table. All the staff was so friendly and we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant withsome cool 90's music playing. Our family loved it. We will definitely be returning! Food was pretty decent. First time there so had no expectations. The nachos were large. The garlic bread was fluffy and tasty.... My wife got the Mexican bowl which was light and flavorful and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich. The blue cheese dressing theyused was very bland and commercial. Have not been to Jack Astor's in a while and we used to go regularly as it was one of our favourite places to go. Was greatly... disappointed this time - what happened!? It took ages to be served, then it took even longer for our food to arrive. I hadordered a steak as I am not good at making them at home ... sadly, I do a better steak than what I received. I ordered med tomed well and received a very over done, thin, tough piece of meat - it was awful. My children loved their bow tie pasta andstir fry meal. On a super positive note, our server Lucas was awesome. Very professional and it was obvious, the delay in foodetc was not on him, but the kitchen. Lucas took great care of us! Despite the disappointment in the food, we were given a freedesert and they kindly removed the charge for the steak dinner (even though I did not ask nor expect it). Hopefully this wasjust a bad night for the kitchen as Jack Astor's is a great restaurant - again, thanks to Lucas for great service. Read more

I took my mom out to lunch here and we enjoyed it! We decided to order apps and split it. We ordered the cheese soup, crab and... lobster dip, Fries and garlic dip and the calamari. The cheese soup was amazing and I would definitely order it again. Crab andlobster dip was good but didn't wow me. I think it needed more crab and lobster. I want a fan of the fries and garlic dip but mymom loved it. The calamari was very good! It had onions and peppers mixed in too which we liked. There is ample parking as itshares parking with a few other restaurants on site. They have one way traffic inside the restaurant and the waiters wear masksand goggles. You do have to do contact tracing and menu through QR code but if you don't want to or can't, they offer papermenus. If you are worried about covid, I would say this restaurant is very safe. Read more
