Yes the pasta is cheap and terrible compared to other "Italian restaurants". But that's not why you come here. They have a... great kids menu. Crayons. Coloring page. Unlimited bread with butter.... My husband and I and our two kids decided to have dinner at East Side Mario’s at Burlington Mall. We haven’t been eating out... much since Covid and it has been a good 3 years since eating here. We were so pleased with the service! And the food waswonderful not to mention so kid friendly too which is always so helpful for the parents. Our waiter Alex was so personable andattentive. He even gave my kids an ice cream which was so nice! He regularly asked us if we needed anything else and we neverfelt like we had to wait for his service. Great East Side Mario’s location in the Burlington Centre Mall (entrance is on the outside of the mall) The restaurant was... clean and well maintained, the service was great and the food looked, smelled and tasted delicious. The price was decent for alunch menu, the lunch portions are the perfect size. Restrooms were clean and tidy. East side Mario’s participates in theScene points program also which is a great bonus! Very disappointed with our experience with this location tonight. I haven't been to East Side since the pandemic. East side was... one of my favorite restaurants and since I had developed some problems with gluten I hadn't switch up my type of meals here.So I was really excited to try the gluten free pasta that we stopped in. Sunday at 530 restaurant was about 1/2 full. We satdown and had service pretty quick. We could tell the waitress was new cause she really didn't know the menu. The bowl of salad,that I love came and couldn't believe that salad sucked. It was soggy because it was drenched with dressing. See pictures. Thenwaited 45 min for our entree to come. Meal was good. I must say the gluten free pasta was surprisingly great. When it was timeto pay the waitress didn't know how to work the debit machine and handed it to me to enter my scene, gift cards and debit card.I know she's new but obviously not quite ready. Horrible food. Calamari extremely spice, and no good taste. Hamburger with a burned meat, old arugula, my kids didn’t like it.... Not a place that I’ll be back. 2 stars for the garlic bread, and French fries, the only things that was good. Service veryslow and washroom with no paper all 3 times I went with my kids. Read more
