Food is just OK. I feel like the quality of food at Cora's is not as great as before. Potatoes were not as crispy and the bread... wasn't really toasted. Skillet was drenched in hollandaise sauce. Been going to this location since it opened. I have always enjoyed the great food and service. I recently placed an order with... Skip the Dishes - over $60.00 for breakfast. My beef is we wanted more vanilla cream than what they normally give you with apancake order but there was no way to order it online from the menu presented. You can get extra meat, hollandaise sauceetc....but no vanilla cream! So we decided to call the restaurant and ask them if they could add a little extra cream for thepancakes and were told by the owner NO! He told us to contact Skip and have it added to our order, ensuring we would be chargedfor it and then hung up. We did not get an opportunity to inform him the menu presented online did not give that option norcould we type in the request at the bottom either - no option! I think that is ridiculous, it's not like we were asking for aton of this - just a little extra as the pancakes are large but a little dry with the regular amount they give! Time to go to anew Cora's I guess! Maybe better customer service going forward should be an option to add...... Read more
We visited this restaurant this morning and have been here many times before. We were disappointed with our service today. We... were greeted promptly, once sitting we were not offered coffee or and drinks. The server then took our food order where I askedif I could please have a coffee. The entire time we sat at our table all we heard was the servers/ladies talking poorly aboutthe restaurant, how much they disliked certain employees, how understaffed they were? it was extremely unprofessional and not atall an enjoyable environment to eat our quite expensive breakfast. When our food came, another waitress dropped it off, Imentioned I had ordered sausage not bacon (no big deal, mistakes are made). She apologized and said ?here keep the bacon I willbring you the sausage?. She then proceeded back to talk to the cooks were we could hear them all talking about us? our otherwaiter returned and said they wanted the bacon we gave you back and she proceeded to grab it off my husbands plate. Great food, quick and friendly service. Went there on a Friday morning around 11:30am, it was a bit crowded but got seated... right away. I love going to Cora for a good breakfast, food is plentiful and the fruit always tastes fresh. Their hollandaisesauce it's also really good, I enjoy their spinach and cheddar Crepomelette (the ham and Swiss was the best, now discontinued)and my husband enjoys their Eggs Benedict, though I miss the fact that they don't offer sourdough toast in the GTA, we used tolive in Vancouver and the locations there had sourdough bread and it was the best toast ever!
