Dinner at the Bancroft was a wonderful experience! Our server Mike was extremely attentive and almost like a mini Sommelier!... Great recommendations on wine and made sure our day was extra special! Excellent steakhouse, our third visit. The crab cake app was absolutely delicious and a highlight. Steak au poivre was perfectly... cooked medium rare, and the bone marrow was amazing although almost overpoweringly beefy with the steak - I opted to spread iton some of their fresh baked rolls instead. We also had the skirt steak with avocado, which was good overall but it was a littlesalty. Polenta side was creamy and rich and the fried onions on top are addictive. The food and service here were perfect! I had both the sangrias they had available at the time and both were amazing! Highly... recommend the mashed potatoes and asparagus as sides! This place is a solid 4.5. We had a great time. The staff was friendly, the ambiance was nice. The steaks were EXCELLENT. The... cook on both the skirt steak and the prime rib (medium rare for both) was spot on. The sides were prepared with as much care asthe entrees. I left fuller than I have been in a long time. So much so that about three bites into my Sunday of the month, Ilooked at my husband and said "this was a mistake" but kept eating. The drinks were just as good. Phenomenal restaurant with a great atmosphere! I recommend getting the Hub Punch, its basically two drinks for the price of one... ($16). I went here with a few friends to celebrate my birthday ????. Lets start with the host, I felt that he was a little bit rude or... not so pleasant but our waitress Rachel made it up for him because she was amazing and knew her stuff. The food was ok, I wouldthat my expectations were a little bit higher, I found that the steak was a little bit too salty for me and my friend said thesame about her salmon.
