I wanted fried okra and stumbled on this place. Soon as you come in the door one of the wonderful ladies at the counter greeted... me, already a plus in my book. It's nice to walk in somewhere and be acknowledged. I waited in line, which wasn't long. I toldthem this was my first time and the lovely woman took the time to let me know the specials and what she recommended. Thecustomer service made you feel like you were at home. I think ordering until the time I got my food was maybe 10 minutes and itwas HOT! The portion sizes were great and the okra was exactly what I was wanting. Everything here is absolutely delicious & the staff are wonderful. The chef even stopped to chat since he didn't recognize me... and is a swell guy. Definitely give this place a try if you're swinging by, I know I'll certainly be back. Read more

I give everything 5 stars. As of the date I visited here, the 100% sanitation score was a nice site to see. The entire place... was spotless, plenty of soap and hot water in the restroom (very clean there, too). The personality of these folks was amazing. They were very welcoming and were truly glad to see you come in. I ordered a BBQ plate with green beans and zucchini. Theseasoning was perfect (reminded me of my grandmother's cooking). Dessert was awesome, too, as they persuaded me to have the keylime pie, home made with home made whipped topping, too. The food and the whole environment was just awesome. It cost a littlemore than your fast food joint but the old saying "you get what you pay for" never held more true than it did here. Worth everypenny. Our family was headed home from the Moore's battle ground (15 minute drive). We found MeMa's. The food and service was... phenomenal. Everything was perfect! In the pictures we had fried catfish and fried shrimp with Okra and my favorite, the greenbeans!!! We highly recommend this establishment. Also, the restrooms were very clean. We stopped by this place on the way back from the beach and we are glad we did. The food was delicious and fairly priced. We had... enough food for 2 adults and 2 children, and still had plenty of food to take home for another meal. Everyone was extremely nicefrom the lady who placed our order to the lady that kept coming back to make sure we didn?t need anything. We felt like we wereeating at our grandmas house and our kids also enjoyed their visit. This will definitely be our stop on the way back from thebeach every year :) Read more
