This place serves amazing sushi in a decent price. Both inside and outside seatings are super nice. Bamboo reflections just made... me felt like I?m in Japan (despite the heat tho!) The COMBINATIONS are the most valuable sets judging from what you get andtheir price. I suggest going for Yakumi Plus to try everything, including extra rolls and edamame. Sashimi quality is veryimpressive. They have generous wasabi, soy sauce and ginger as companions too. Rice is seasoned to match with type of fish onthe sushi - SO GOOD! Dessert is actually a MUST-TRY here. Both mochi icecream and cheesecake are just amazing. One parking tipfrom me is to go early. There were few spaces in front of the restaurant and you can pull right in if you go early. There aremore street parking along Maple otherwise. Read more
We were set to visit Aulds' fish & chip shop last weekend (Sunday 28th), visiting from out of town but didn't know it was street... parking only & Yakumi our surprise stop on the way, saved our day. We bought a Sushi box and they offered parking for us to runover to Aulds. We are Sushi lovers, so it was a great day. The 1st box had 2 rolls (We tried Salmon and Spicy Tuna) It was veryfresh & delicious with their fresh seaweed salad and edamame and 5 pieces of sashimi and just L?ved the soy truffle & ponzusauce. So good ! My Family had me running back to get another box. Thankyou Yakumi, we will never forget your hospitality. Nice corner location with an outside patio. Plenty of umbrellas for shade when you are on the patio. The sushi is flavorful and... the staff is friendly and professional. Only four stars because you have order/prepay at the counter, the portions are small,plus the street parking is limited. Read more

Quick Summary Great food, ambiance and service. It offers the same concept as Sugarfish, but I think the quality, service and... value were better. Highly recommend getting the crab hand roll (it was fantastic). Brian, the manager, was very helpfulthroughout and they present each dish, so it's like a fine dining experience for your fast/casual lunch/dinner Food- 5stars Hanabi- this spicy tuna on crispy rice was good. An excellent appetizer and would be great for happy hour Yakumicombination- I got this sushi combination with the baked crab handroll and seaweed salad. The baked crab handroll was divine andI will be coming back for more. Seaweed salad was very solid as well (although my girlfriend's cucumber sunomono was slightlybetter for the salad option). The sashimi was fresh. Definitely recommend getting some extra truffle soy (it was sogood!) Green tea mochi- very delicious dessert to end our lunch Service- 5 stars The service was solid throughout. We would... have given it five stars but we all decided that the "order at the counter" for the price of the food wasn't our fav feature -When at higher priced restaurants, it's much nicer to have a waitress come take your order instead of standing in line at acounter.
