We came for dinner with some friends from out of town. It wasn’t busy at all so it was nice to almost have a private dinner... party with the place to ourselves. We indulged a bit and treated ourselves to some cocktails, pork belly, steak is poivre andshrimp and grits. All were divine. I start I ordered the le papillon violet which was a feast for the eyes and the palette. Itwas a light violet color, not too sweet and had a hint of citrus, served in a vintage champagne coup. A fun and different way tore energize after a week of work. For an app we split the pork belly. It was a huge portion, cooked well and the glaze was sweetand delicious. There was so much it could have been my whole meal. We chose to spilt the mains. Shrimp and grits, which I’vehad here before, was once again phenomenal. Everything was portioned perfectly, several large shrimp with perfect and not tospicy seasoning, flavorful grits and plenty of sausage. The steak was cooked well, was a huge portion and the poivre sauce wasseasoned perfectly. Some of the asparagus was a little tough and stringy but we ate around it. Overall tons of delicious food.We brought our appetites and still had to take some home. The staff was very accommodating and very helpful. If you come in thesummer the patio is overlooking Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park. We had a lovely time. I would absolutely come back. Read more
