I had the crab cakes and corn chowder! I will tell you what my sister's ex is from Louisiana and his corn chowder was bomb. The... Quarter nailed the black peppery taste. It was on point. The crab cakes were heavenly. The blend of flavors worked well. Thefood was fantastic and Nikki our server was attentive and a very pleasant person. Overall I had a pleasant experience and can'twait to try the jambalaya next time. Read more

Very nice restaurant - expect high prices. Not sure what happened tonight but we waited just under an hour and a half for our... food. I don't mind waiting but let us know there's going to be a significant delay. Drinks are good, ambiance is great. Wouldcome back and give the place a second chance. Read more

We ended up at The Quarter thanks to a Facebook post that piqued our interest. It was a rainy Tuesday night and The Quarter,... tucked on tightly packed Virginia place looked like just the kinda place rainy nights were made for. Walking in we were met by acool old piano with an archaic looking stone head propped up against it near the floor. A quick walk through heavy, dark drapesopened up into a bar and restaurant full of beautiful dark woodwork and a friendly bartender named Danny. Their specialtycocktail menu had everything from Hurricanes to Pims Cups and Danny made me a delicious spiced pear drink with dark rum, a hintof vodka and a cinnamon stick. It was delicious. Then came the food. We had fresh diver scallops on a bed of sprouts withraspberry and grape tomatoes. I had cajun blackened catfish with mashed sweet potatoes and coleslaw, my date had cajun mac andcheese full of so much deliciously spicy sausage. For dessert a spear of beignets on top of a plate covered in drizzledchocolate and clouds of whip cream on top of a bowl of ice cream covered in more whipped cream. Heaven on a plate! Bonus wasthey had a date nite special that included the appetizer, dinners for 2 and dessert for $69.99. For the meal and ambianceprovided, and the friendly and accommodating service of Danny that was a steak. It was wonderful and unexpected to get a tasteof the French Quarter in Buffalo, New York. We came here at 7PM on a Friday night. It wasn't crowded and although we made reservations, we didn't need them. We sat right... away and Eric the bartender came over right away to take our drink order. I usually get a beer, but when he told us about how hemixes the ingredients in the kitchen, I couldn't pass up a homemade hurricane. We ordered the Stuffed Hot Peppers and theLouisiana Shrimp Cakes for appetizers. Delicious! for dinner, we ordered the Shrimp Etouffee (x2), and the quarter pounderburgers (x2). We joked that we should have ordered another etouffee to split. Everything was delicious.we were loving the foodso much that we also ordered an Orange Creme Brulee, and the Bignets. The food wasdelicious as I mentioned, but the service wasmore remarkable than anything. Both Eric and another gentleman treated us like we were the only guests there. They spoke highlyof the food, made recommendations, and treated us like Kings. I highly recommend eating here. Read more

Service was super fast and the food was quite delicious. Live jazz music and a few subtle design touches make for a very cool... environment. And the prices were extremely reasonable given the high quality of what we received. Will be coming back foranother Shrimp po boy! ???? Read more

Cool Spot But Lacks Flavor *this is long, I'm sorry* A friend and I went here because I kept hearing about it and I have yet to... find a great creole spot. We was excited that we came out despite the snow and roads being bad. The Quarter is located onVirginia Place Down the block from Mothers and Fat Bobs (between Virginia St and Allen). Good luck finding a parking spotbecause there is only street parking. Don't park in the lot right next to the restaurant or you may get towed. Though it wouldbe super convenient, it's for Rowhouse guests only. When we got inside it was pretty dark. A decent amount of seating though. We sat at the bar because we like to see our food. All the light is at the bar with the 2 pretty ring lights on each end. Whenwe sat down we were acknowledged immediately. I'm upset I didnt get the bartender's name that served us because he wasphenomenal and very knowledgeable. He may have been part owner because he said something about his spin on the wings (we'll getto the wings later) We started out with drinks. They have happy hour from 5-7 offering $6 cocktails. Unlike the menu listed ontheir website you can get any of the drinks on their drink list. I got the sazarak and loved it. They make theirs with brandywhich gives it a slightly sweeter and smoother taste. My friend got the ramos gin fizz; a creation in itself. That too was verytasty Also, unlike the the menu on their website, there is no happy hour on food ????. Fine...they have another option if thereare 2 of you. It's called "Love In The Big Easy" you each get gumbo or salad, crab cakes to share, 2 entrees, and a cocktaileach for $55. It's a good deal so that's what we did. Their plates feel like they're stored in a fridge. Which may be why thefood was cold. The gumbo had a really nice flavor, very spicy. I just hate that it wasn't hot in temperature; or even warm forthat matter. The crab cakes were ok. I like the horseradish aioli. So much that I liked that on the mixed gree Read more
