The Banshee is a wonderful, Irish Pub in the heart of downtown Buffalo. The food is great, with all the Irish favorites, along... with much more. They pour a great pint of Guinness and have a great selection of beer. Fine Irish whiskey is in abundance acrossthe shelves of the old- time bar. This is the place to hear live Irish music downtown and get that Irish Pub feel. The staff arefriendly and attentive, and everyone is welcome there. FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE. This place has old world character that you don’t see done well at most places. The Banshee somehow... manages to blend lively chatter and live Irish music with a really cozy setting like you are at a friends home in front of theirfireplace chatting over a few pints. Not quite sure how they pulled that off, but they did. Service was fantastic, beer wassuper reasonably priced, and while we were there everyone was smiling and having a good time. What more can you ask for? Wewill DEFINITELY be going back and trying the Irish breakfast as well as making it our home for the World Cup games. Well donegentlemen! Read more
I went to The Banshee Irish Pub for dinner yesterday before a show at Shea's 710 and loved it! A bunch of restaurants nearby are... closed the entire day on Sundays, so we were excited to find a spot with a menu that fit what we wanted! The salmon was AMAZING,and we loved their cocktails. The staff were all super nice and the service was very quick. No wait times and there was livemusic! Definitely recommend. Read more
Completely captures the vibe and atmosphere of a traditional Irish public house. Was very pleased to walk in and not be... disappointed by a cookie cutter looking modern American or corporate designed bar. Food was excellent and staff was superfriendly, helpful and professional. I had a fantastic evening here! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the drink selection was great (I tried an Irish... lager that I enjoyed very much) and the food was delicious. The wings, made "Irish style", were a nice twist to the usual plateof wings one would get in Buffalo, I highly recommend trying them. The Chef Special corned beef and cabbage dinner was madesuper well, everything on the plate was worth finishing off! Coming here for food, drinks, and a good view of a football matchwas a top notch downtown Buffalo experience. I can't wait to come here again for another similar evening! Read more
Let me tell you something. This is the BEST REUBEN I have ever had. It was incredible. My wife got the beef on weck and loved... it. The fries are just like shaved potatoes but the seasoning they put on them is delicious. If you want something good to eatgo here. Read more
Our son's hockey team went here for lunch. The kids loved it. Perfect place for large groups. They are very friendly & we loved... the atmosphere. Great place for families to go for a bite to eat. The atmosphere is great, starting with the various items portraying Irish history and culture. The bar staff and management are... always super efficient. I have only had some of their food, but everything has been delicious and I appreciate that they have awide range of menu items. It is very evident that they have a huge selection of Irish whisky, as well as a wide range ofbeers/ales/lagers. I usually come in for the Premier League, but the World Cup events have been over the top. Staff willing tocome at and open at 5am for every day is just super. Often these matches draw only a few guests, but the staff has nevercomplained. The location downtown is very convenient to local hotels, businesses, and entertainment venues.
