My friend and I were shopping and decided that French Fries would taste really good right then. So glad we went to the Olympic... Restaurant. We were greeted and seated right away. We visited the Olympic near the Buffalo airport last night at 7:30pm for a late supper. We had delicious meals. I had a hot... turkey sandwich and mashed potatoes, my partner had a mushroom burger with fries. Excellent! The restaurant was busy and onlyhad two servers for multiple tables (because they're having problems getting waitstaff to apply for the openings that theyhave). I have to tell you these two ladies handled a huge group of customers in an organized and efficient manner, with a smileon their faces and kind words and concern for us, despite the fact that they were definitely exhausted from the stress of thevolume of tables that they were assigned to. They obviously seemed to have years of experience in their roles as waitresses andit showed. We were amazed at what they were able to do to keep the customers happy with so many customers. Been going here 25 years. Its the first time we had a bad meal. My mom actually got sick at the table after eating the fish fry... and clam chowder. I feel the grease was dirty. You can see how dark the fish and fries are. Not sure what happened to thisplace. So sad. Read more
Stopped by here yesterday for a fish fry. Started with a cup of lemon chicken rice soup which was really good. The Haddock was... beer battered. The fish was fresh tasting but could?ve been cooked a minute less as the tail was super crunchy. The mashedpotatoes with gravy was a bit larger than your typical portion size. Their potato salad was really tasty. Wish they gave alittle more of it. The fish dinner also came with bread that?s not pictured. I haven't been here in years, it hasn't changed much. The food is still great, most of my party of six ordered breakfast and we... all enjoyed it. Wish I had taken more food pics but I only snapped my turkey club. Our waitress was great! Read more
Always an excellent meal and service. Hubby and I drive the 40 minutes from Clarence to eat here. Prices for what you get is... very reasonable. Food is consistent and so is the service. We've been coming here for a decade or more. The owner is alwaysaround and seats everyone. He is a very pleasant man. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Two thumbs up. Read more
