We went with 14 people for a friend's birthday dinner. They were super accommodating to our large party, the food was excellent... and our waitress Lilly was seriously the the best! She anticipated our every need and when someone in the kitchen accidentallythrew away my leftovers, they made me an entirely new meal to take home! Like seriously incredible service. JT?s seems to be another restaurant that has declined in terms of quality of service and product, while raising prices at the... same time. I?ve eaten here plenty of times, both dine in and takeout, and up until recently this was my favorite place to get asteak sandwich. During my last visit, the greeting I received at the host stand was a total turn off. No smile and hello, Icouldn?t even hear what was said back to me from the two women after I asked for a table. My waitress seemed nice initially. Iordered the steak sandwich this time. When it was brought out, I noticed that the piece of meat was drastically smaller thanwhat I had been accustomed to receiving, while the price has also increased by $2. After taking my first bite, I found that thesteak was overcooked and extremely tough to chew. Just an all around horrible piece of meat. During the time I was eating, I wasnot asked how things were. So when the waitress decided to come over to prepare the bill, I made mention that I was not happywith the steak I received. She took my plate and went to inform the manager. The ?manager? turned out to be one of the women whowas behind the host stand when I walked in. The waitress returned and asked if I would like a complimentary dessert or drink, Isaid ?no, thank you.? So she hands me the bill. I look at it and say ?manager couldn?t do anything, huh?? she says, ?let me goask her again.? So the manager comes over and tells me that it?s my fault because I ate half of the sandwich. So I had to informher that no one had come over to ask me how things were. Eventually she agreed to take the sandwich off my bill all together,but at this point I was honestly offended by the way she handled the situation. Customer service is severely lacking. This place is located in the heart of the Elmwood Village where there a couple dozen restaurants close by but his place is one... at the top. The atmosphere is LIVE & even walking by you can still feel the positive fun vibe. The food forgetaboutit, loveit! I will say it's not necessary a cheap place to eat but 100% worth every penny. Even the wait staff seemed to like theirjob & bring that vibe to the table. Lastly, don't be surprised to bump into friends which always makes dinner or lunch betterbecause this place really attracts those positive vibes and hence I totally recommend this restaurant! I noticed that the staff didn't check on my date and I as often as the did the other customers, I don't want to make something... out of nothing but, we were the only brown skin people on the entire restaurant. Nevertheless, the food was absolutely deliciousI had the black spaghetti and shrimp and my husband had the pizza. The service definitely could have been better. Read more

My friends and I came for brunch. The bar and restaurant are nice. The drinks were great the service was good. I had high... hopes for this restaurant, unfortunately I was not pleased. I ordered shrimp and grits and asked for over medium eggs. When myfood came out my eggs were sunnyside up. I almost never send food back however my eggs were runny and slimy so I told thewaitress and she took the plate back. When my plate was returned the eggs had been completely cooked through. Clearly overhard and dry. I really hate to complain and was definitely not about to send my plate back again! I decided to just enjoy theshrimp and grits, only to find my shrimp was overcooked and chewy. You get 3 shrimp with this dish I ate only 1, and didnt eveneat the eggs. It's disappointing. My friend liked her meal she ordered the lamb and hash. I will not return, it's not worththe $80 I spent on my plate and 2 drinks plus tip. Underwhelmed. Read more
