Deep South and our amazing server Trevor accommodated 15 of us on a Thursday night around 8:30. Everyone had a blast and left... happy. zero stars, please do not go here. while we were eating we count SIX HUGE RATS. This was during the day so the infestation must... be really bad at night. we told the waiter and he said ?yea? sorry we?ve been having a problem with that?? and left it at thatand didn?t try to do anything about the rats running around or fix the situation. we were so grossed out we could not eat ourfood. There are many people with similar complaints about the restaurant and the owner is gaslighting them in response. *edit*as stated in my original review i did contact the waiter about the issue. therefore i spoke in person, so im a little confusedhow that makes me gutless :) Read more
Went with my family including our nearly 2 year old earlier this week. We hope it would be kid friendly based on their menu,... crayons, and outside patio. We were served by the bartender. The bartender was very in observant. Through the meal he put a fullglass of water, sharp silverware, and eventually individual bottles of hot sauce in front of a reaching toddler even aftermultiple requests not to out anything in front of the toddler. The adults? water was never refilled and a cocktail wasforgotten. The chips were warm and crispy, though the tacos sat under a heat lamp for too long and the tortillas dissolved andthe tuna in the taco was lukewarm (rather than cool or cold). We tried 7 tacos between the 3 adults and no one was impressedwith any of their tacos. We were going to get take out because my puppy was with us, but found out they're puppy-friendly! Absolutely sublime tacos,... delicious margaritas, and friendly service. Also, extremely reasonable prices. Definitely will be going back again. Highlyrecommend. Read more
My friends took me to the one on Hertel and I'd heard reviews about the place that weren't so great but my experience was... enjoyable. Got the nachos and shrimp taco, my friends got the lobster taco and some quesadillas. The nacho platter only got halfeaten by 3 people so the portion size for 18 bucks is definitely more than worth it and believe it or not, THEY HAVE A BIGGERONE! Tacos were great, atmosphere pleasant, wait staff attentive and helpful. I think the pricing on certain things is a bitsteep( tacos namely) but overall I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants a good eats location any time of day. Service here was not good. Menus were dirty from previous customers. It took about 20-25 minutes for the waitress to get to my... table and I ordered a shrimp iceviche appetizer; about $12, which took about 10 minutes to arrive and for it to be the size ofmy palm. I?m 5?4 and I have small hands? The tacos I ordered which was about $7 were also small,very dry and not veryflavorful(Mind you it was the same size as the shrimp iceviche). Majority of the people here were white as well and I was one ofthe only few poc here? The water that also came with was regular tap water and the cups were not washed properly since I had toscrape off dried up after wash and lip crust from the rims. There was particles in the water and the silverware that theyprovided me was still dirty and greasy from previous use or just improper wash. Read more
I hate to leave a bad review but felt like the service was so bad it warranted a review. Pros: 1. The back patio is really cute... and they have above table heaters when the weather is chilly. 2. The tortilla chips are warm and seasoned which I loved. Thesalsa is good. Cons: 1. There were 2 servers and they were very slow to serve/didn?t pay much attention to us. We satourselves, had to look for menus and also had to hunt for napkins. Waited 20 minutes before server took our drink order thencontinued to rarely check on us. It wasn?t that busy honestly. 2. Because there were 4 of us, we order pitchers of Margaritaswhich were about 70% ice and were $47 per pitcher. 3. My friend ordered the fish tacos and when they brought our food, I thoughtthey gave me the fish (I ordered chicken) because they smelled so bad. Super fishy smelling fish tacos. My taco was loadedwith huge chunks of onion. I like onions but this was over the top. If you?re just coming for a drink and chips and salsa,this is the place to be because the ambiance is nice but expect a lot less service and high prices. Read more
