Simply amazing. We ordered three meals and couldn't pick our favorite, as they were all fantastic. We have certainly found a... great restaurant which could easily become a go-to option. Thank you! Read more

Weird flavors. Tom kha gai was very bland. The pad Thai looked nothing like the pictures in other reviews. It tasted like... Chinese food with the flavor resembling sweet and sour chicken. Curry was decent. Maybe it was an off day for them but overallnot enjoyable. Read more

This is a wonderful hidden gem in Buffalo. The food is great and the owner is wonderful. The prices are very reasonable. The... only issue I've ever had is that it can take a little while for the food to come out. That's mostly due to the small staff. On avisit I had the owner take my order, cash me out, go cook the food, and bring it out. It's definitely worth the wait, butcalling ahead to have your order prepared makes things a lot snappier. The Tom yum seafood soup, red curry with pork and tea leaf salad were definitely some of the best Lao food dishes I have ever... eaten. My good friend is Lao and my daughter just spent 4 months in Vientienne,Laos and they too highly recommend Gourmet LaoFoods. I will be back ???? ! Read more

We stopped here for lunch when traveling home. Had a good meal but it could've been better. We had high hopes from the... reviews. We ordered beef larb, drunken noodles, khao Puen, lao pork sausages, chicken wings, and bubble thai tea. Larb andchicken wings were very good. Now onto the not so good: the drunken noodles were just ok - flavor is very different from theone that we are accustomed to at other restaurants. It seemed to have red curry at this place and we've never had it with currybefore. The Khao puen was sweet and too salty at the same time. It was OK but definitely not the authentic flavor we expected. The Lao pork sausages were also a strange flavor, not as tasty as the ones we buy and cook ourselves. We thought for sure, thethai tea would be good but nope, it tasted like a milkshake. There was no herbal tea flavor. It tasted generic. Overall, werate our meal a 2.5 out of 5. The best part was that the owner was very nice and chatty. To improve quality of her foods, sheneeds to use better ingredients and use less salt. Read more

The owners work the counter and kitchen, they're friendly, upbeat and happy to talk about their home country or customize a dish... of you can't have an ingredient. The food is authentic, and the fresh smoothies are filling and delicious! Read more

Great food. Sweet people. I recommend the larb with sticky rice. The green curry was nice. They need to be braver with the... flavor. I think they are scared of hurting someone so they make the som tom too bland. They should also bring in some Laobarbecue. Let us have it!!! We can take it!!! Read more

Food was made fresh. Everything was delicious and you could tell the staff really wanted us to have a great experience--and we... did. Bubble teas were a huge hit with the kids. The bill was very reasonable. Lots of great menu options--can't wait to goback. Read more
